The Best Untradeable Items in Old School RuneScape

OSRS items

Here are some of the best untradeable items in Old School RuneScape that we think to deserves a spot in your inventory.

Old School RuneScape has a plethora of items with each one possessing a unique set of uses. From the usual potions down to some rare capes that are worth a lot of OSRS gold, items are what makes the gold in OSRS flow and keep the economy stable. This is why we’ve seen an influx of buying OSRS gold and OSRS gold selling. Besides selling and buying items for gold, they can also be traded items. Say you have an item that you’ve outgrown but you already have enough gold that could last for months. Instead of selling the item, you can simply look for a person willing to trade an item that you’re looking for. But note that not all items are tradeable. In fact, there are some non-tradeable items in OSRS that are deemed essential by players, but unfortunately can either only be crafted or bought in shops.

If you’re keen on finding out which untradeable items on your inventory are the ones worth keeping, then you’ve come to the right place! We’ll be talking about the best non-tradeable items in Old School RuneScape and why you should consider keeping them in your inventory.

  1. The Fire Cape
    OSRS fire cape

The Fire Cape is one of the most well-known capes in Old School RuneScape. Fire Capes have never been tradeable, nor will they ever be according to the developers of the game. This cape is important for those who are looking to master the arts of Melee Combat, Slayer, and Bossing. Besides attack bonuses, the Fire Cape grants the player donning the Runescape items on an additional +4 Strength bonus and a +2 Prayer bonus. Altogether, this cape is essential for those that specialize in using melee attacks. Unfortunately, you can’t buy OSRS item cape using OSRS gold, but there are a number of ways to get one. For starters, you’ll be able to receive a Fire Cape should you achieve level 99 in Firemaking. If Firemaking isn’t your forte, you can get the cape by defeating TzTok-Jad instead.

  1. Rune Pouch

The Rune Pouch is an OSRS item that fits both in the Combat and Skilling category. What makes it so important, you ask? Well, as the name suggests, the Rune Pouch is able to hold Runes in one inventory slot—specifically three Runes. This makes the pouch extremely useful since Runes are needed in Old School RuneScape in almost any activity. You can get a Rune Pouch by buying Tier 1 Emblems from the Grand Exchange and trade them for Bounty Hunter Points which can be used to purchase a Rune Pouch.

  1. The Arclight

The Arclight is one of the best combat items in OSRS. This is thanks to the huge increase it gives to your Accuracy and Damage whenever you fight any Demonic Creature. The Arclight is typically made using a combination of a Darklight and three Ancient Shards. The Ancient Shards can be found inside the Catacombs of Kourend and are typically dropped by the monsters that reside there. There’s really not a lot to say about this OSRS item that’s already been said before. All in all, it’s a great untradeable OSRS item worth making an effort to obtain because of how big of a boost it gives.

  1. Prospector Outfit

The Motherlode Mine is one of the most iconic places in OSRS. And how can it not be? It’s an area that doesn’t require you to have a quest whenever you want to enter it. It’s also a great place to mine ore and earn a ton of Runescape gold. This mine is a members-only Mining training area though, so this means that if you’re not paying the monthly subscription fee, then you won’t be able to get inside. What makes the Prospector Outfit important is that it’s a great Skilling outfit. While having only some of the Old School Runescape items on the set is fine, the outfit will give you an even bigger boost should you wear the whole thing.

And those are some of the best untradeable items in Old School RuneScape that can’t be bought with OSRS gold! While there are still a lot of OSRS items left to talk about, we think these are the ones that deserved to be on the spotlight. What do you make of this list? Are there any other RS items that you think should be added? Let us know your thoughts by leaving a comment or two below!

Ultimate Watchtower Quest OSRS Quick Guide (Part 2)

Ultimate Watchtower Quest OSRS Quick Guide (Part 1)

Much as we wanted to keep the guide whole so you no longer have to read it in separate pages, the Watchtower quest is a rather long odyssey. Thankfully, this is the second and last part of the guide. Hopefully, this will help you finish this long but popular Old School RuneScape Quest.

After The War

We last left off with Og returning two of the crystals and giving the last piece of the relic. Now, with the relic completed, go back to Yanille, and go to the west gate. Head southeast to find the city. Upon entry, head straight to the market. There, you’ll find a food stall, where you have to steal a rock cake from.

Now that you got the cake, go south of the city, where you’ll find some guards. Give them the rock cake so they’ll let you pass. Keep going south, and beyond the aggressive ogre you’ll find more guards, which will give you a word puzzle. Answer it right, which is “death rune” – this means you’ll have to give them a death rune in exchange for a skavid map, which you’ll need in order to navigate the Skavid Caves.

Speaking the Language

In the Skavid Caves, you’ll find the magenta crystal. To do that, you need to find the following skavids. The first is the scared skavid, which you’ll find east of Gu’Tanoth. Tell him that you won’t hurt him as long as he teaches you their language.

For the others, here are their locations and responses to what they’ll say:

·         along the city’s main entrance path; “Cur”

·         northeast of Gu’Tanoth, along main entrance; “Ar”

·         south of Yanille’s west gate; “Ig” (take two nightshades for the quest)

·         outside the city, east of mountains; “Nod”

Once this is done, return to the scared skavid. He’ll tell you to talk to the mad skavid, which you’ll find in the southeast path of Ogre City’s entrance. To get in, use the OSRS gold bar on one of the guards. Upon entry, go south and cross the bridge westward, then enter the cave.

These are the things he says as well as the respective responses to them:

·         Ar cur = Gor

·         Bidith ig = Cur

·         Gor nod = Tanath

·         Cur tanath = Bidith

·         Bidith tanath = Cur

·         Tanath gor = Nod

·         Cur bidith = Ig

·         Gor cur = Ar

Get it right and you’ll get the magenta crystal. On a side note, get the two cave nightshades. After that, go to Gu’Tanoth marketplace or return to Yanille through the hole in the corner if you need access to the bank.

Magic Potion Versus Magic Users

At the marketplace, use one of the nightshades on an enclave guard, near the cave entrance to the west, to distract them. Make sure to complete the dialogue that will ensue, or else you’ll have to give another nightshade. After the dialogue, you will be warned about the enclave’s dangers. Once ready, proceed forward.

There will be a cutscene with an ogre shaman and a blue dragon. Don’t interact with the ogre shaman as you’ll lose 20 hit points for doing so. You’ll find the last two crystals inside, but you need the magic ogre potion to kill the shaman to get them back. So for now, you have to go back to Yanille and concoct one.

The ingredients are guam leaf, jangleberries, bat bones (must be crushed using mortar and pestle), and a vial of water. If you don’t have bat bones on hand, there are giant bats east of the watchtower. Put all the ingredients into the vial of water and you’ll get a potion, which will then become the magic ogre potion if you give it to the watchtower wizard.

With the potion in hand, you’re now ready to kill the shamans. For extra preparedness, get a pickaxe, anti-dragonfire shield, and some food. Once again, you’ll have to use the nightshade to get inside the cave. When you’re in, kill the six ogres using the potion while avoiding the dragon. The last shaman you’ll kill will give you cyan crystal directly in your inventory. If you accidentally drop it for some reason, you’ll find it in the southeast corner with the bones.

The last crystal is in the Rock of Dalgroth, which is also inside the cave. Be careful as this is where the OSRS blue dragons are. Use the pickaxe to mine the last crystal out.

Finishing the Quest

Now that the crystals have been completed, it’s time to return to the OSRS watchtower. To get it up and running again, place the crystals in the corresponding crystals:

·         yellow – southwest

·         grey – southeast

·         cyan – northwest

·         magenta – northeast

Pull the lever and there you have it, the quest is now complete. Enjoy your rewards and cherish the experience. Hopefully, you had a fun and easy questing time!

Ultimate Watchtower Quest OSRS Quick Guide (Part 1)

You’ve probably heard of longtime Old School RuneScape players talking about the “Watchtower”. Yes, it’s a structure, but when veterans talk about it, they actually mean the quest. So, do you have plans to take on it? It can be quite tough. To help you out with that, we have this guide for the first part for you.

Strap yourselves in and get ready to take notes!

What is Watchtower Quest OSRS All About?

The quest is simply known as that, Watchtower. Lore-wise, it’s about the strife between the city of Yanille and Gu’Tanoth, a city of ogres that lies southwest of it. As the name of the quest suggests, the heart of this conflict is a Watchtower OSRS, which you have to repair so that the town can aptly defend itself.

Yanille is a members-only town. If you have no plans of becoming a member as well, then this information is just going to be on a nice-to-know basis. And if you are a member, you should definitely take it, as aside from 5000 OSRS gold, it also gives 4 Quest Points, the Watchtower Teleport spell, and a whopping 15,200 Magic XP, and of course, a rather interesting story in Gielinor!

What Do I Need For the Quest?

For this quest, you need 15 Magic, 15 Thieving, 25 Agility, 14 Herblore, and 40 Mining. As for items, you need 20 coins, a gold bar, tinderbox, death rune, Dragon bones, guam potion/leaf and a vial of water, a light source, bat bones, and Jangerberries.

Also, this quest involves fighting a level 68 Ogre. The quest doesn’t have any hard requirements on any combat skills, so it’s up to whether the ones you have will suffice or not.

On the other hand, the recommended items are anti-dragon/dragonfire shield or antifire potions, ring of dueling, stamina potions, and good food and armor. For added mobility and therefore shorter completion time, have a mith grapple and a crossbow.

Getting Started: For the Want of a Nail

To start the quest, you have to talk to the Watchtower Wizard, which you can find in the eponymous watchtower. He’ll tell you that the watchtower, which he cast a spell on to keep ogres out, is not working because the crystals have been stolen. It’s your task to bring them back, and the first place you’ll be combing is the tower grounds.

You can use the main ladder of the main tower to go up and down, but we recommend that you use the trellis to avoid the conversation and get Agility XP as a bonus. Given how it’s just the start of the quest, you’ll only be finding fingernails instead of the crystals in the bush in the far northwest area. There are other things you’ll find over there, but you don’t need them for the quest.

The wizard will inform you that the fingernails are from skavids, the ogre’s servants. To find the culprit, you need to enter Gu’Tanoth, the city of ogres, and to do that you need to complete a relic by obtaining its three pieces. Each piece will come from one of the three ogre chiefs.

Tribal Warfare

First off is Og’s tribe. Head south and you’ll find it in an island full of jangleberries. Get some because you’ll need them for the quest later on. Grew, a member of the tribe, will ask you to kill Gorad. You’ll find him on Toban’s island. To get there, you have to either enter the Skavid caves four times without a map or go around Gu’Tanoth. But before you do, if you don’t have a death rune, which you need for the quest, later on, you can find one south of Gu’tanoth, in a hole surrounded by rocks.

After killing Gorad, talk to Toban. Give him the dragon bones, and then he’ll tell you where he’s hiding Og’s gold. With that out of the way, go back to Og, give him Gorad’s tooth and he’ll give you a piece of the relic, the first crystal, and the yellow crystal. As for the OSRS gold, he’ll give you the last piece of the relic once you return it to him.

You’re halfway done with the OSRS Watchtower quest. For the rest, it’s either you do it yourself if you really can’t wait, or follow the second half of our guide. Whatever your choice may be, Old School Runescape Watchtower is an awesome quest that deserves to be finished.

Ultimate OSRS – Monkey Madness 2 Quest Guide

Monkey Madness 2 can be a lengthy quest in OSRS, though it offers up some neat rewards.

If you are attempting the OSRS Monkey Madness 2 quest on a search for OSRS gold and glory, then there is a lot you will need to know. Following on from the previous Monkey Madness quest, Glough has gone missing and King Namode needs you, and again enlists your help. This is a very long quest, so there is a lot you need to know before we get started.

Monkey Madness Quest Requirements

Starting with Monkey Madness quest requirements, you will need to have completed the Eyes of Glouphrie, Recipe for Disaster, Enlightened Journey, Troll Stronghold, and Watchtower. As for your skills, you will need 55 Agility, 70 Crafting, 60 Hunter, 69 Slayer, and 55 Thieving.

There are also several OSRS items that you will need to finish the quest. These include Food, Lemons, Grapes, Energy Potions, Prayer Potions, Summer Pies, Weapons, Armour, Pestle and Mortar. There are also monkey items including the Monkeyspeak Amulet, Monkey GreeGree, and the Monkey Talisman.

Chapter 1

To kick off the quest, go and speak to Narnode Shareen, who tells you Glough has escaped. Then head to Glough’s house to the south-east of the Grand Tree and climb the ladder. Climb up the tree and investigate the tree branch, which will give you an embroidered handkerchief.

Speak to the wife Anita at the north-west staircase of the Gnome Stronghold. Ask her what’s wrong as she is upset. Her fears are that Glough is seeing another woman. Offer to help her as Glough may be in trouble. She tells you of whispering that she couldn’t reach higher in the house. So go back to Glough’s house and climb the tree a couple of times. Check out the gnome statue which will have a hidden switch. In the cupboard you will find the OSRS book of spyology, so read through it to find a spycraft encrypted document. Go over to the crates to the north-west to get a brush. Then check the fire remains to find a mysterious note. To decipher the note, you need to use Pestle and Mortar on your lemon. Then use the nearby lit candle on the note, and use your Pestle and Mortar on grapes to apply to the brush. Use this brush now on the note to make a scrawled note.

The note is written in an ancient Gnome language. Use your translation book on the note and return it to the king. He will tell you to go back to Anita to translate it. Read the now translated note and head back to the king. Assistant Le Smith apparently helped Glough escape according to the note. With that information go to the south of Glough’s tree and speak to Assistant Lori. This assistant is the replacement for Le Smith and tells you to ask Auguste what happened. Use the balloon to get to Entrana and speak to Auguste. You will be informed that Le Smith was lost trying to get to Ape Atoll. Go back to King Narnode who will tell you to talk to Garkor in Ape Atoll.

Chapter 2

Once you reach Ape Atoll, go to the north of the island. Over to the east, you will find speak to Garkor. You will be told to speak with King Awowogei, so do so. You will be informed that he only speaks to Kruk, SO go back to Garkor. Your next task is to kill Kruk so you can make a GreeGree to use as a disguise. Go to the hill near the main gate and you will spot some monkey archers. You will be able to talk to one of them, so ask where Kruk is. You will be told to track him from the bottom of the hill, so head down until you find tracks. Follow them all the way to a trapdoor, then open it to enter the dungeon.

You can find Kruk near the handholds from the entrance. Be careful, however, as there is an entire dungeon in front of you to get to him. There are two different ways of approaching the dungeon. You can either use your agility, which would mean you should be about 70 Agility to attempt it, or you can Tank your way through. For the latter method, you will need a slashing weapon and a pickaxe.

Agility Route - Old School RuneScape

If you are going for the agility method, then head south then east. Make sure you stick to the flat parts of the ground, as the parts covered in an X will see you fall into a trap. Keep going until you come to a full room of tricky ground. Your goal is to reach the eastern door. Follow the path to the chest to get the bronze key. Use this on the northern door and continue to the northern end of the cave. Go down the corridor to the west to find Kruk’s lair.

Tanking Route

You will notice that the tanking route makes the dungeon look straight forward. However, there are enemies to deal with here. Look out for monkey archers and make your way through by slashing webs. You will know whether or not you are heading the wrong way if you come across a web that is too strong to slash. Your goal is to find a set of chests that will open to find a combat damaged key. This is then used to open a door to progress. You will then find a number of traps that can be disabled. This is only temporary so be careful.

Kruk

Keep going west and you will find three maniacal monkeys. The path then splits left and right, both ways have dodgy ground to contend with. Once you reach Kruk, you will have to avoid a number of melee attacks. Use your stamina potions to help you avoid the attacks and retaliate with melee in kind. Once he is down, take his paw and make your way out.

Your next task is to make a Kruk Monkey GreeGree. You will need a Monkey Talisman and the paw to do so. Next, its time to head through the tunnel from the first Old School Runescape Monkey Madness quest. Go to Zooknock and get the monkey GreeGree made for you. Head out of the dungeon and go back to Awowogei. You will be told that the monkeys are using the Gu’Tanoth Ogres and the Troll Stronghold generals to plan an attack. Speak to Garkor to start the next chapter.

Chapter 3

Use teleport to Trollheim and go into the Troll Stronghold. From the entrance go down and left to find the room with Kob. You will need to fight Kob until he gives up, after which you need to talk to Kob again. Once you have done so, got to Gu’Tanoth and keep heading left until you see Keef. Once again you will need to defeat this character, and Protect from Melee comes in handy here.

Afterward, speak to Garkor then talk to Assistant Lee Smith on the top of the Ape Atoll buildings. His locations vary from the top of the jail to top of the main gate, on the building west of the rune stall, and the top of the broken building. After speaking to Garkor again go to the west and speak to the monkey guard to go to an airship platform. Go through the maze and try not to get spotted by the ninja monkeys here. Find the six satchels and pick them up, after which you will need to fill them with explosives. Go to the east, then find and climb the green ladder. From here go southwest and go down the blue ladder to find the satchels. Go back to the ground floor then climb the cyan ladder.

Go down the red ladder next and go along the path to get the explosives. Clicking the barrel will fill all of the satchels, so do so and go back up the red ladder. Head down and use a satchel on the floorboards here. Then go back to the ground floor and place a satchel on the eastern beams. Use the green ladder again on the ground floor and head across the vines. Go north and put a satchel on the weakened floorboards.

Then you need to go back to the green ladder on the middle floor to reach the top floor. Head down to the gas container and use a satchel on it. After that, go make it to the ground floor and head back towards the boat. Just to the west of the entrance, you will see support beams, so use a satchel on it. Go back to the boat and then speak to Grankor, before heading back to Kruk’s dungeon.

Head north and equip the Kruk GreeGree, then use the monkey bars. Then go through the passage that goes into Glough’s laboratory. You will see a stunted demonic gorilla, so climb on it then go down the stairs. You might need to use Protect from Melee again here to get past the gorillas here. Afterward, use the holding area to get off the stunted demonic gorilla and look for a chisel and hammer in the nearby boxes.

Your next task is to head upstairs and mess with the device at the top. Use your chisel on the charged onyx before using the deconstructed onyx over on the device you have just found. Now you need to investigate the incubation chamber, after which you can talk to Garkor. He will tell you to go speak to Awowogei and state that the trolls and ogres have backtracked on the alliance, which will frustrate him and force him to cancel the assault. Tell Garkor this news which will trigger a cutscene, which shows Glough going ahead with the plans to attack.

Chapter 4

Head back to King Narnode Shareen and let him know that the Gnome Stronghold is going to be attacked. You will be told to ask the aid of Nieve, who can be found near the stronghold Slayer cave. Ask for her help and she will agree. By going around the stronghold, you will notice that tortured gorillas will be around, so be careful.

Let the king know and you will be informed that the 10th Squad will handle business whilst you and Nieve go and find Glough at the crash site. From there, go to the grand tree and head northwest to speak to Garkor. Head through the crash site to find the cavern, and be wary of the tortured gorillas outside.

Final Chapter

Make your way through the cavern and take on the demonic and tortured gorillas within. Glough will then drink his mutagen which transforms him. Nieve will be knocked away trying to stop him and will be crushed by a boulder. This leaves you to deal with Glough by yourself, and you will need to fight him within three different caverns.

In the first room, you can safely spot Glough so do so until he moves into the next room. When he enters the second room, try and lure him back to the first. Go along the north wall and you will find a safe spot to attack him with ranged and magic. Go into the final room and then use Protect from Melee if you are attacking from close range. If you are attacking from a distance, then try using Protect from Magic.

After you have beaten Glough, you will be teleported out of the collapsing cavern. Explain to Zooknock that Nieve died in battle, after which you will be teleported to King Narnode. Inform the king that Glough has been slain and the rest of his minions are trapped in the collapsed cavern. You will be told that he’d received a message to say that Awowogei has set up a peace offering between the mainland and the Ape Atoll, which he will accept.

That’s it! You have completed the OSRS Monkey Madness 2 quest. This is one of the longer quests in the game, and it is challenging. But you can expect to receive 4 quest points, plus plentiful Slayer, Agility, Thieving, and Hunter XP. You will also have access to the Crash Site Caverns if you wish to venture there.

Did you manage to complete this Old School RuneScape Monkey Madness 2 quest? Let us know in the comments section below!

Best Ways for Beginners to Earn OSRS Gold

Earn OSRS gold

One of the key features of Old School Runescape is how you can make OSRS Gold. To do this, there are many methods for you to choose from. Whilst there are some higher-level ways of turning a hefty profit, today we will be looking at some of the best ways to farm for gold for beginners.

The methods on this list will vary in how much Old School RS gold they will net you, but what's more important is that they are ways of farming gold with low-level requirements. This effectively means that you can gain access to them rather easily, though they can still pull in a decent profit. They may be more straightforward ways of farming OSRS gold, yet they will be easy for you to use from earlier stages than later methods.

1. Emerald Necklace Enchants - Level 2

This is a pretty self-explanatory method, to be honest. You will be required to purchase Emerald Necklaces form the Grand Exchange, before enchanting them and selling them on. However, to do this you will need to have level 27 Magic, level 2 Enchant Spell, as well as Air Runes and Cosmic Runes.

Once you are ready, you will want to check what the difference is between an Emerald Necklace and a Binging Necklace. After you have done this, you will get a better idea of just how much profit you can make. Thankfully, the necklaces that are required don't cost much to make, so you can make a large amount whilst gaining experience at the same time.

The margin ranges usually between 200 and 400, meaning that by making 1000 an hour you could net yourself 200,000 - 400,000 OSRS Gold per hour. That depends on if you can enchant this many within that time, and also what the margin is at the Grand Exchange.

2. Ultracompost

Ultracompost is the most valuable form of compost in OSRS, so naturally, it can turn a profit if used correctly. To do so, you are going to want to have unlocked Fossil Island, and have Level 22 Mining to get the best out of this method.

The requirements above should take you to Fossil Island, where you can mine Volcanic Ash. Once you have done so, you can then combine it with Supercompost, which can be bought from the Grand Exchange. By combining the two, you will then get Ultracompost. This can then be sold on the GE for profit, or you could simply purchase Volcanic Ash without having to go to Fossil Island. This way however will cost you more, though it will save you time from mining.

How much profit you make is decided on which way of selling gold Ultracompost you choose. If you have the Runescape gold to spend, then you could save a lot of time by simply buying the items at the GE, which will earn you 132 OSRS Gold for each Ultracompost sold. However, if you choose to farm the Volcanic Ash, you could earn double this amount. This could bring in profits of anywhere to 250,000 - 500,000 RS Gold per hour.

3. Elemental Staves

To take advantage of Elemental Staves, you will want to look into price comparisons of the available staff. Because there is a variety of prices, you can use this to make a profit. Before doing so, it strongly recommended that you have a Teleportation Ring to speed up the process. You will also be required to be at Construction Level 42.

First off, you will want to build a house. Then, head out and purchase the cheapest staves before heading back to your home. In your house, you will then want to build a Crystal Ball, and convert your stacked staves that you bought earlier. You can then sell these at the GE, though there are a few variables in terms of how much profit you will actually make.

This ultimately depends on the price difference between the staves. Depending on your travel situation, and the price differences at the Grand Exchange, you can earn anywhere from 375,000 to 700,000 RS3 Gold per hour.

 4. Javelins

The practice of using Javelins to earn Runescape gold differs slightly from the other methods. Here, you will want to find a certain NPC to give you a better price on them. Firstly, you will want to head to the Grand Exchange. Here, you should purchase plenty of Adamant and Rune Javelins. From here, head over to the Void Knight's Outpost.

Once you have arrived, go to the Void Knights Squire NPC, and sell up to 100 Javelins to them. You are going to want to change worlds after this and repeat since the buying OSRS price does eventually decrease. The profit is decided on how many Javelins are for sale at the GE, and how fast you can sell them. Typically per hour, you should be looking to make 400,000 - 1,000,000 Old School RS Gold.

5. Death Runes

Purchasing Death Runes from the Mage of Zamorak is the highest profitable method of farming OSRS gold with low-level requirements. You are going to need some gold upfront, however, though the more you have the more profit you are looking to make. The Abyss OSRS quest will also need to have been finished before you try this. Heading to the Mage isn't without its dangers either, so be sure to stack up on health items before you do so.

Head over to the Mage, who can be found at the Altar of Zamrok, and the Souther Wilderness mining site. You should then purchase Death Runes from the Mage, then head back to the GE to sell them. Like with the previous method, changing worlds and repeating the process will bag you a lot more profit, though keep in mind you will need to make sure that you have enough OldSchool Runescape gold to do so.

You can buy up to 250 of the Death Runes, which are priced at 195 gold. These then sell on the GE for 220 gold. If you purchase 250 Runes on 100 worlds, this will increase to 625 gold. This depends on the GE price of gold, which is sometimes all the way up to 275 gold in a single world. If that's the case, then you could make up to 2,000,000 gold per hour, assuming that is where the price of Death Runes is at.

These five methods are a great way for beginners to farm or buy OSRS Gold. There are more profitable measures that have higher level requirements, but for the time being you can use these five ways to net yourself a lot of profit from a relatively early stage.

Have you tried these methods in OSRS? Let us know in the comments section below!

An Easy Guide to OSRS Flipping

OSRS Flipping

What flipping really means and how you can do it

Many OSRS money-making guides recommend OSRS flipping. However, if you're new to the game and its terminology, you might be at a loss as to where to start. To remedy that, here's a quick guide to making OSRS gold from flipping!

What Is OSRS Flipping All About?

Flipping is defined as the act of buying an item with the intent to sell it immediately for a profit. When you buy an item to sell for a later date, that's considered 'merching' and has a different set of rules.

How Do You Earn Money with OSRS Flipping?

First, pick an item to flip. You can do this by choosing an item (criteria explained in a later section), and checking its margin. To do that, buy one and then sell it instantly. When you check the history, you'll see the price you bought and sold it. The difference between those two is the margin.
Higher margins do yield more profit, but you can't discount those with a lower margin. You could still get some profit from them, though it'll be smaller. It's your choice. Once you've calculated the margins, buy the item at the cost of the lower end of the margin, and sell them for the higher end. That's all you do!
With the buy limit in the Grand Exchange though, you'll be limited with how many you can buy of an item. When you reach that limit, it's time to change items to flip. Start by calculating margins again, then buying and selling it in bulk.

Item Criteria

Here are the characteristics of a good item to flip in Old School Runescape.
First, it's in demand.
Players are always trading for it, whether for leveling or skilling.
Second, its margin is in the acceptable range.
Good judgment comes from experience. Don't be afraid to experiment when you're starting out. High volume items are good to start with, as they won't put a dent in your wallet if a sale goes wrong. The process of flipping these items also won't take too much time. There are many ways to find an item to flip. One is to check out the wiki. Look for herbs, runes, or items that are relatively cheap, but important to players. They're the ones that are going to be in demand and traded often. Another resource to look at for flipping items is the game's site itself. It has a page that lists all the top traded items on the Grand Exchange.
Of course, other players looking to do the same would also look to these resources for items. It's no different for video and other kinds of guides. If they used an item as an example, you'll see comments that flipping is ruined for that item. As they were used as an example, followers of the guides might use that same item.

Additional Tips

Don't spend all your money on trying to flip one item. If the sale goes bad, you'll have nothing left. Set an initial flipping budget, and keep some savings to tide things over when losses deplete your capital.
You might want to make a spreadsheet to keep track of your sales, margins, and profits. Generally, what you've found as profitable today will be profitable again sometime in the future. It'll also help you compare the relative profitability of an item to the others you've tried.
Sometimes, things happen in the OSRS GE. Maybe someone just happened to drop a bulk sale of the item you wanted to flip. As a result, you lost money or just barely broke even. All you can do is to move on and try again. Success isn't 100%.
Flipping margins fluctuate with the number of players actively flipping the same items. Because of that, you might find that items have different margins depending on the time. You might want to find a time when you can get a reasonable profit.
You can also use the OSRS GE Tracker for all kinds of trading needs. It keeps track of the OSRS trading history of items, your profits, and can even notify you of price fluctuations. It's a great resource and tool to use for all your trading needs.
As you flip, you gain experience and OSRS gold. Your judgment also gets better, so you'll have higher and higher profits. Don't stop practicing and keep the money rolling into your hands.
Enjoy Old School Runescape!

A General Overview of Herbs & Herblore in OSRS

Herbs & Herblore OSRS

The skill Herblore, and Herbs in general, have been around since the early stages of RuneScape (now known as Old School RuneScape). Despite being around for many years now, there’s still much to learn about this simple yet complex skill and item. Not only are these used to farm OSRS gold in huge amounts, but Herbs help your player character reinvigorate themselves in the midst of battle or other similar tough scenarios. For now, let’s take a look at what Herbs and Herblore can bring to the table.

What Are Herbs and How Do I Use Them?

Herbs in the real world are plants that can be used for medicine or mixed into food that can ultimately lead to tasty dishes, and that’s not far off from what herbs are in OSRS. In an MMO setting, herbs are essential ingredients for crafting potions. They are, of course, also used in the culinary setting. The strength potion or food that you make with Herbs has certain effects, such as Health restoration or Attack and Defense boosts.

There are tons of herbs that you’re bound to stumble upon while playing OSRS. There are two types of state that an herb cleaned or grimy state. To use grimy herbs, they first need to be cleaned, especially when it comes to making super energy potions. Grimy herbs are usually what you’ll gather if you’re just scouring the terrain for them, but you can also buy clean herbs from other players via the Grand Exchange. Altogether, herbs are diverse but are mostly used to make more than one type of potion.

What is the Herblore Skill?

Herblore is a skill that you can use to make magic potions through the combination of herbs and another secondary ingredient. Depending on what kind of attack potion you make, there is a whole slew of effects that can happen to your character. For example, if you use Defence potions, it’ll give you a temporary defense boost. They can also give you status effects such as the Super Anti-Poison potion which cures weapon poison while giving your character immunity for six minutes.

Not everyone has access to the Herblore skill though, as it is a member-only skill, making it locked behind a paywall that you’ll have to get through first. So, if you’re keen on having this useful skill, you’ll have to fork up a little cash for the monthly subscription for OSRS. Not to worry, because we’re confident that you’ll be able to get your money’s worth with this skill. Herblore is one of the most useful skills in the game, especially for raids. For ironman accounts, having Herblore experience is a great boost since most of the time you’re on a budget.

Best Potions That Are Crafted Using Herblore & Herbs

If you’re still not convinced about the usefulness of Herblore, then how about we show you some of the most powerful potions you can craft using this skill? A great example would be Super Combat potion. It is widely regarded as three-in-one ranging potions due to its combination of the Super Attack, Super Strength, and Super Defence potion. Another one is the Prayer potion that super restore your Prayer points. While it’s not mind-blowing compared to the Super Combat energy potion, it’s very convenient to have and making it is cheaper than buying it from the Grand Exchange as it costs almost 2k Old School RuneScape gold for just one.

Conclusion

Train herblore is not only a great skill to add to your arsenal but fun too thanks to the wide variety of energy combat potion you can craft to earn gold. Maybe you could even make an offer on an OSRS gold sell site. While herbs are one of those abundant items just scattered on the ground like vials of water, it can either make or break the game for you depending on how you use it. So that’s about it for our general overview of what Herblore and Herbs are! What you’re your thoughts about it? Did you find these things useful? Let us know by leaving a comment down below!

Top 3 Quests in OSRS That You Need to Take

Top 3 Quests in OSRS

If you’ve just recently started playing Old School RuneScape, then there’s a lot that you’ll need to go through. One of the important aspects that you should take note of is the quests in the game. Quests not only grant you experience, but certain ones also give you the chance to unlock indispensable skill requirements and items that oftentimes prove invaluable to your journey. In this optimal quest guide, we’ll discuss which School RS quests give you the most experience points and Old School RuneScape Gold (OSRS gold) as well as the ones that give you access to certain item rewards and skills.

1.       Monkey Madness II

The Monkey Madness II quest rewards give you so many benefits to the point that it almost seems unreal. The official sequel to the Monkey Madness I quest series, you will need to talk to King Narnode Shareen first who is located in the Grand Tree. Finishing Monkey Madness II is no easy feat as the quest time for it is very long—it even has chapters to boast just how lengthy it is! When gearing up, we recommend that you stock up on Food, Prayer potions, Stamina potions, and some Antidote. The equipment that you should have is the ones that have a high Melee and Ranged Defense paired with a weapon that can slash webs. After all, is said and done, you’ll be rewarded with 15,000 Thieving exp, 15,000 Hunter exp, 25,000 Dragon Slayer exp, and 20,000 Agility exp to go along with your 4 Quest points. You’ll also gain access to certain areas in the game like the Ape Atoll Bank and Crash Site Cavern where you can find Demonic Gorillas and slay them for more experience points. Altogether, the Monkey Madness II heroes quest can be a grind, but it is well worth it thanks to the abundance of rewards you’ll reap. Note that this quest requires you to have a high level, so don’t think that you can just waltz in Ape Atoll and start it immediately!

2.       Desert Treasure

The Desert Treasure quest is another one that is worthy of consideration. Completing this legends quest will give you access to the Ancient Spellbook. If you’re not informed, the Ancient Spellbook holds tons of great spells that are great for Slaying and Pkingsince it prioritizes combat spells. You can cast some of the most powerful combat spells known to Old School RuneScape thanks to this book. There are four types of spells that you can cast upon receiving this book: Ice, Blood, Shadow, and Smoke spells. Each of these has its own unique ability. For example, the Smoke Spell can inflict poison upon enemies, while Blood spells can heal the caster of 25% of its health.

3.       Ghosts Ahoy Quest

The Ghosts Ahoy quest is probably the most unique Runescape quest out of all the ones on this list. Here, you’ll be helping out the stranded ghost villagers stuck in Port Phasmatys, and your job is to get them to the afterlife. While doing so, you’ll also be slaying sea creatures in your way like a giant lobster (yes, this isn’t a joke). But hey! Once you complete it, you’ll be given an Ectophial for your efforts. The Ectophial is an item that can be used to teleport you to the Ectofungus. There, you’ll be able to find an herb patch nearby. This is a great item to have if you’re into Herblore and want to travel with ease to your patches.

Conclusion

Those are all of the important quests in OSRS that you need to know about if you want to get tons of OldSchool Runescape Gold (even to try listing on an OSRS gold site) and more! Granted there are still many that we haven’t touched on, but these are what we feel are the best. Are there any other OSRS questing that you have in mind? OSRS - Top Tips and Tricks You Need To Know

osrs tips and tricks

The seemingly evergreen MMORPG Old School RuneScape has managed to remain relevant and sustainable for quite some time now. The game is subjected to regular updates and new content and is now available on mobile platforms. If you are a newcomer to the game, then fear not, as we have a bunch of quick OSRS tips and tricks right here to help you get started on your journey through Gielinor and beyond. So prepare yourself for adventure, as you slay demons, collect OSRS Gold (Runescape Gold) and much more in the wonderful world of Runescape!
Get Questing
This is a really common piece of advice for new OSRS players, but it is also one of the most important. This is because it is a solution to a common mistake that many new players tend to make, which is to jump straight into training and trading before focusing on what could bring you the most experience in the early stages of the game.
There is such a wide variety of quests within OSRS. These will range anywhere from gathering materials and chopping wood to slaying the mightiest of demons. And along the way, you'll be rewarded for doing so, whether with gold, XP, new items, or anything else that the completed voyage decides to compensate you with.
Master the Controls
This is something that will obviously come with time, but it does take some getting used to. You may have checked out the odd tutorial video here and there and wonder how seasoned players are able to navigate the game so easily—especially since you have just started out—and you're wondering how to get to grips with everything in the early stages.
OSRS operates a point-and-click movement style, which can most definitely take some getting used to. As you can imagine, it is hard to use this system, which isn't aided by the camera that is in place. With all this in mind, make sure to set aside ample time to get the feel of things.
Should I Get an OSRS Membership?
Once you have a better feel for the game and you have an idea of how you want to progress, you will be faced with perhaps the most important question you have to ask yourself: Do you want to become a member? It can be a difficult decision in terms of budget, but when it comes to the sheer amount of content available to you, then becoming a member is really the best option by far.
By becoming a member, you'll unlock a lot of new content, including eight more skills to gain, mini-games, as well as a threefold increase in map size. Most importantly, there are far, far more quests now available to you as a member, so if you are looking to play Old School Runescape either on PC or you download an OSRS Mobile app for the foreseeable future, then I would certainly recommend getting an OSRS accounts membership. If you are a bit more of a casual player and just want to enjoy the game at a more leisurely pace, then there is enough free content for you to enjoy.
Money-Making/Selling Items
You may have also heard by now that there are ways for you to make money in OSRS. As a matter of fact, it is pretty much unavoidable. What RuneScape does for players is it essentially rewards them for basically any task that is completed. This can vary from mining, chopping wood, fishing, questing and much more. So more or less anything you do will earn you money along the way.
As far as buy rs or selling your items goes, the best place to go would be the Grand Exchange. This is because you can buy or sell more or less anything here, which puts it above anywhere else when it comes to buying and selling. You will be able to find the Grand Exchange (often abbreviated to GE) in Varrock, though there is no need to rush here. The best course of action would be to rack up your inventory first then come back to make a reasonable profit for yourself.
Avoid the Wilderness
If you go the woods straight away, you’ll be in for a big surprise because chances are you're going to die. Heading into the wild early on can prove to be disastrous if you are unprepared, as this is an area where most players go to let off steam, so to speak—usually at your expense!
If you do happen to venture out into the wild, then remember to take a protection spell with you. If you fail to do so, you will lose pretty much all of your dropping items. With that in mind, be sure not to head out there while carrying items that you don't want to have taken off you.
Now that OSRS has expanded out onto the OSRS mobile platform, more and more players are looking to engage in the popular MMORPG. If you are one of these players, then you will hopefully have found these OSRS tips to be of use. Now that you are armed with the knowledge, it’s time to get out there and grab your OSRS Gold (Runescape Gold) along with a weapon of choice. Go forth and enjoy the online sensation that continues to delight fans even after all these years!
