Farming for Battle: Gathering War Resources in WoW

As in previous WoW expansions, Battle for Azeroth has a unique mission table currency: War Resources. Here are a few tips to help gather this vital commodity.

There’s more to World of Warcraft than merely gathering WoW mounts. There are, however, exceptions to the rule. Right now is one such case in point because it’s once again time to gather an expansion-exclusive resource! For the mission table currency, Warlords of Draenor had to collect Garrison Resources, and Legion had Order Resources. In Battle for Azeroth, it’s War Resources, which is a rather fitting name.

You’re going to need lots of this stuff, and to help you get them in spades, here’s a short guide.

Military Adventurism

For Battle for Azeroth, war resources are going to be used to recruit troops, send them to missions, and do research upgrades. You can also donate some to your faction’s Warfront or buy Seal of Wartorn Fate, which can give you the chance to bonus roll item drops in Mythic + dungeons.
One good way to earn War Resources would be by finishing World Quests. Easy ones will give you 30 to 45 War Resources, which should be enough for many of the missions. The harder ones, especially those that include dungeon objectives, can garner you 100, and even up to 200 war resources.

The problem, however, is that they’re not always available. But as long as you do them regularly, you’re sure to have a steady supply of War Resources.

Spoils Before War

Another way to earn War Resources would be by collecting zone-specific treasures, a feature that Blizzard added in Mists of Pandaria. In Battle for Azeroth, you’ll find ten hidden treasures for each zone. You won’t have much difficulty finding them, since they’re in fixed locations, and tracking them is even easier if you have add-ons.

Do note that each treasure can only be obtained once, so the War Resources you can get this way is very limited. But hey, this is a war, so you’ll definitely want to squeeze each and every War Resource you can get.

And while we’re treasure-hunting, you should also look for hidden treasure chests, which spawn at random locations. You won’t be able to find them with specific coordinates or add-ons, you’ll be able to see them as a gray icon on your mini-map if you happen to come close to one. Once you get to the exact location, there will be a faint purple glow emanating from the chest.

You won’t be getting a lot of War Resources this way, and these kinds of chests only give vendor trash items, so don’t expect World of Warcraft Mounts. Still, better a little than none at all. Plus, you’re already in the area, so you might as well get them anyway.

All About Control

To get war resources, you need to engage in war. Thus, it makes perfect sense that one of the best ways to make War Resources is to complete Warfront weekly quests when it’s your faction that controls Arathi Highlands.

When it’s the enemy faction that holds Arathi Highlands, members of your faction will have to contribute to the war effort by completing weekly quests for profession turn-ins. Other than war effort, this will also contribute to your faction’s award reputation and artifact power.

Once you finally reach 100% contribution, your faction can now launch a Warfront, giving you control of the contested location. While under your faction’s control, you’ll be able to take on a handful of quests offered in Arathi. However, you can only do these quests once per cycle, so you’ll have to wait until you lose control of it and seize it again after completing all those quests.

A war isn’t just about fighting in the frontlines and winning them. It’s also as important to get the much-needed resources to wage one and seize even more resources by the end of it. So if you want your faction to truly dominate, start getting as much War Resources as you can.

PlayerAuctions Christmas Giveaway

Happy Holidays!

It's Christmas time again, the time of gift-giving and heartfelt jubilation. It's also the time of decorations and lights, of warmth and love. The holidays give an excuse to spend time with the family, or (what's more likely for hardcore gamers) to stay in and play video games all day long. Christmas cheer is everywhere, and our site is no exception. PlayerAuctions giveaway is gearing up for another sweet raffle.

Don't let the opportunity pass you by!

For our Gr8 Christmas Giveaway, we're giving away coupons worth $50 dollars each to eight lucky winners! These coupons are redeemable on anything sold on PlayerAuctions, with no restrictions. Get the items, skins, or other resources you want. Buy an account to get a head start in a game you want to play. Take a power leveling service and make leveling, grinding, or farming more convenient for yourself. Otherwise, you can just exchange it for an amount of in-game currency to make things easier for yourself. Software and CD keys are also available on our site, so if there's a game you want to play, you might find it there.

There are many things on our site that $50 can buy, and you just have to take the opportunity. You could be one of the eight winners, but you'll never really know until you try.

How to Join

From Christmas (December 25th, 2018) until the New Year (January 1st,2019), we'll be setting objectives for you to do. Each objective will give you points. Those points will be your raffle entries of sorts. The more you have, the better your chances of winning.

The objectives are simple enough: visiting sites, liking pages, and stuff like that. That means there's no reason for you to not collect as many points as you can. However, there will be objectives that will award more point than the others. Make sure you're able to get those as they're great at increasing the chances to win. The giveaway will start on the day itself, and the winners will be drawn and announced after the last day. On that day, eight people will be picked at random to receive the codes that will serve as the coupons on our site.

The code can only be used once, so it's best to use it on something that's close to its value. If used on something cheaper than its value, the amount left cannot be used in another transaction. However, it can be used in conjunction with your payment option if used for something worth more than its value. This coupon can be used on anything on our site, unlike previous giveaways.

Gathering entries will run for eight days. So rack up those points and cross your fingers. Watch this page [https://blog.playerauctions.com/playerauctions-giveaway/gaming-goodies/] on Dec. 25, Christmas Day for the beginning of the giveaway.

Winners will be notified via email and our official Twitter, @PlayerAuctions. Take care that you don't fall for any phishing attempts or emails pretending to be official.

It’s A Steal: World of WarCraft Subscription Changes

World of WarCraft Subscription

Not a lot of gamers jump into an MMO for the first time if it’s already five years old or more. Everyone except you already got the mechanics memorized by heart and has a competitive-level character that runs endgame content, while you’re just catching up when it comes to level, gear, and game knowledge. Blizzard, however, came up with a way to entice new players for World of Warcraft: free base game and expansions.

Pay to Play Legion

Aside from the aforementioned reasons, another deterrent for new players is the fact that they have to buy the base game and all the expansions just to play the most recent one. And while Blizzard has come up with some steps to lower this particular hurdle, such as offering bundles and packs that get you the expansions for a single purchase and a much lower price as compared to buying them one by one.

As if that deal isn’t a steal enough, Blizzard decided to do give expansions – including Legion – for free simply by subscribing to the game. This basically means the game has become pay-to-play – until Battle for Azeroth rolls out on August 14, that is. No doubt that a lot of prospective players see it as a good move, especially since it’ll be saving them a lot of money.

On the other hand, older players and those who just recently bought Legion are pissed, and understandably so after paying for something that they never imagined would be free later on. Hopefully, Blizzard comes up with a solution that will appease the veteran players.

Past for the Future

Blizzard is intent on bringing fresh blood into Azeroth’s circulation because it’s going to have its new expansion: Battle for Azeroth. To get new and returning players up to speed, the latest expansions have been all about bringing the game to its roots.

Legion was about revisiting the Burning Legion, the army of demons headed by the titan Sargeras; they’re also the chief antagonists of Warcraft III and the reason for the events of World of Warcraft’s base game.

Battle for Azeroth, on the other hand, brings the conflict between Alliance and Horde to the forefront once again. Truce after shaky truce, the two major factions are finally done with the handshaking so off to war against each other they go. The war between the two hasn’t been this focused on by the franchise since WarCraft II, so a lot of long-time players are excited for this.

Looking Forward to the War

In true World of Warcraft style, the new content for the upcoming expansion is going to be tightly tied to the lore. A good example of this would be Battlefronts, a Warcraft II-heavily inspired game mode which will put you in the battle boots of a commander. With 20 allied players, you’ll either be launching an assault on an enemy stronghold or defending the stronghold that you conquered.

As for other additional new content, players will be getting the Heart of Azeroth, the new “artifact weapon”. There is also the Island Expeditions, which are 3v3 PVP content where you’ll face off either AI or other players in islands while trying to find Azerite and Tratures. Last but definitely not least, there will be 10 new dungeons, which are definitely enough to last until the next expansion.

World of Warcraft is headed in a new direction, not only when it comes to lore and in-game content but also in its history as a game, thanks to Blizzard’s creative new idea on how to get new players on-board. After all, war is coming, so both factions should pump up their numbers.

The Inflation of WoW Gold and Why You Should Care

While it has only been a few weeks since the release of Battle for Azeroth, the game's economy is already going bonkers. Sure, that's to be expected with all the updates and the ‘soft reset' of crafting resources and crafted items in the Auction House. There's also the rush of new and returning players which muddles things even more. To sum the problem up, the price of WoW Gold relative to real money has plummeted. You may think this expansion's economy problem won't affect you because it didn't before. Well, there were factors and circumstances during those expansions that kept things stable. They protected the majority of players from inflation's effects.

Things are different now, so you have to be ready.

But First, Let's Look Back

During the days of Legion, the announcement that WoW tokens could be redeemed for Blizzard credit should've had the same effect. However, here are some circumstances that kept prices stable.
First, the value of goods and gold stayed the same relative to each other. Factoring into this is the fact that the announcement came about six months after the launch of the expansion. By that time, players have leveled up their professions and established trade supplies.

Then, Legion was the expansion that introduced flying and aerial travel routes. Farming resources and traveling became more efficient, increasing the gold output of players. Combine that efficiency with how Blizzard made gathering easy and you get a sustainable trade.

Lastly, even though it's illegal, botters were able to provide enough goods and resources to keep things in balance.

Because of all the circumstances listed above, prices were stable enough even as the demand for more tokens increased. A surplus of goods offset the surplus of gold. Thus, casual players didn't feel or see anything amiss.

And Now, Let's Look Forward

Circumstances for Battle for Azeroth are quite different. For one thing, Blizzard is making ingredients scarcer again. Players need the Anchor Weed to create the newer flasks, but they're found randomly in place of other herbs. With the influx of new and returning players, demand for new equipment and consumables will spike hard. It'll intensify once players start running the mythic+ dungeons and raids.

The problem is, everybody's still leveling up, either in professions or character level. Otherwise, they're exploring the new content, quests, and locations. They're not prioritizing collecting and crafting yet. That means a scarcity of trade goods and a high demand for it. All of this contributes to the plummet in the value of gold relative to real money. To sum it all up, there's a surplus of gold, but not enough supplies.

Expect and prepare for expensive goods. You might have to shell out real money for some stuff. Then again, it would be difficult to sell tokens since it'll be expensive. At any rate, it'll be tough trying to get stuff from the AH. The economy will settle soon enough, so just hold on until then.
See you in the battlefields of Azeroth!

The Overwatch System Makes CSGO Skin Collection Secure

Here's how the Overwatch system keeps your CSGO skin collection safe from unsavory players. There's also the hows of the system, as well as a bit of an update for the Chinese version.

The presence of hackers, griefers, and generally rude players in CSGO is a given. They're such a nuisance to ranking up and collecting CSGO skins. That's why Valve introduced the Overwatch system. It's not related to Blizzard's competitive shooter game. The system lets players self-regulate. ‘Investigators' review collected evidence of unwanted behavior. Depending on their verdict, recipients may get permanent or temporary bans.

Keep in mind that Steam Support has no jurisdiction over the application of these bans. This means they can't revoke or reduce the duration of the punishment. As a result, players who receive permanent bans from this system have to make another account or buy the game again just to resume playing.

How It Works

Investigators receive clips of a player with an outstanding pattern of complaints. That pattern can either be a spike in reports or many that built up over time. The investigator would then review the replays and judge whether it is ‘Evident Beyond Reasonable Doubt' or ‘Insufficient Evidence'. They can also ‘Postpone' judgment and restart it later.

However, those replays are also sent to other Investigators. There must be an overwhelming verdict before setting a ban on a player or not. It's not one person who judges and has the final say. The more times an Investigator submits accurate verdicts, the more Overwatch points they receive. XP rewards from participating scale with those points, so this can help with ranking up.

The pool of Investigators increases steadily. Players who play in official Competitive Matchmaking often have the best chances of getting chosen. Other criteria are account age, play time, and skill level. The selection is random so it might be a while before you can become one.

The System in Perfect World

Now that CSGO has come to mainland China through Perfect World Entertainment, the Overwatch system also migrated. While it has almost been a year, there are still many bugs and kinks to work out. The latest update for the launcher, however, made downloading evidence much more reliable.

Considering the newness of the Chinese servers and launcher, there's bound to be problems that will come up in the future. The Investigator pool will also be smaller than the one already established in the West.

Let's look forward to the continued improvement of the Overwatch system and launcher, as CSGO – Perfect World gets better.

99 Runecrafting Guide for Old School RuneScape

Runes are necessary to cast magic. They can be bought from various magic shops around Gielinor. If you're unwilling to buy these runes, Runecrafting is the way to go. It's a skill players can learn, and here's how to reach 99.

Free-to-Play Players

Free-to-play players have no access to certain features which limits their options. They can craft Air, Earth, or Fire runes till level 20. Earth runes become available to craft at level 9; Fire runes at level 14. At level 20, players can craft Body runes until they reach 99. Body runes yield the highest experience for Runecrafting for F2P players.

Alternatively, they can craft Water Tiaras from 1-99. These are the most cost-efficient tiaras F2P players can make and has the 4th highest experience yield. It will require unenchanted tiaras, water talismans, and a water rune. Collecting enough talismans is probably the most difficult and time-consuming part of this process.

Pay-to-Play Players

With access to more features than F2P players, P2P players have more options to take advantage of. They start out like F2P players, with crafting Air, Earth, Fire, and Body runes. The difference starts at about level 23 when crafting Lava runes become available. Lava runes yield high amounts of experience. Crafting them is the fastest way to level Runecrafting. The drawback of this method is that it's pretty costly.

At level 27, players who have completed the Lost City quest have the option to craft Cosmic runes. Upon reaching level 35, they can craft Chaos runes. It is quite inefficient if only done for leveling the skill, though. At level 44, Astral runes become available. It requires completing the Lunar Diplomacy quest. Astral runes don't require a talisman or a tiara when crafting at the altar.

After that, other runes become available. Nature runes start at 44, Law runes at 54, Death runes at 65, Blood runes at 77, and Soul runes at 90. If you'd like, there's also the option to double craft runes. Cosmic runes can be double crafted at 59, Astral runes at 82, and Nature runes at 91.

Alternatively, there's also the Ourania Altar, which creates random runes. Because of this randomness, the experience yield is random. It also depends on the level of Runecrafting you have. The teleport spell needs 71 Magic and completion of the Lunar Diplomacy quest.

At any rate, you'll end up with more runes than you can use, so you can sell them for OSRS gold.

Recommended Gear and Items

Monsters surround most of the altars, so you'll have to tank/run away from creatures. Even if you'll need the space to make the most runes every run, there are still some things you have to bring. First of all, are rune pouches. They increase the number of runes you can craft by collecting more essences. Don't forget to repair them often as any pouch bigger than small decays.

As for equipment, the Boots of Lightness, Spottier Cape, Penance Gloves, and a Graceful Outfit are your best bet. However, stamina potions or a high Agility skill level can fill in gaps in equipment. Lastly, if going through the Abyss, bring a Black Pickaxe. It's the lightest pickaxe in the game and won't slow you down.

Check out other guides for a more in-depth explanation and how-to. Enjoy leveling Runecrafting in OSRS!

CSGO New FBI Character Models Introduced

Counter-Strike Global Offensive

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive aka CS:GO is proof that the classics are still the best with regards to their simplicity and longevity. The six-year-old game shows no signs of slowing down. Constant game updates and bug fixes keep it from going stale. Speaking of which, one of this month's updates finally refurbishes character models for some game modes. The counter-terrorists' FBI character models are now clad in blue jackets and blue jeans. Also, a tactical vest covers the jacket.

So go out and collect those CSGO skins in those spiffy new duds! The new character models are on the maps Nuke, Office, and Agency.
CSGO Skins

Other Updates

One other major recent update is the "mp_solid_teammates 2" setting. It lets players stand on and walk through teammates. Then there's the change to the starting money of the team on a losing streak. Some guns have updates on their accuracy and price. New maps are available and some old ones are now unavailable in different matchmaking modes.

While nothing too exciting is happening in CSGO, no events or teaser for a big update, the blog reports over 11 million unique players last month. Also, CSGO trading is still in full swing, for skins are always in demand.

Enjoy CSGO!

The Need for Steeds: World of Warcraft Battle for Azeroth Mounts

New expansion, new WoW mounts – that’s been the trend with World of Warcraft for quite some time now. The same goes with Battle of Azeroth. So, if you want to ride into battle in the snazziest way possible, check out this guide!

Other than Horses

With Battle for Azeroth’s focus on the reignited conflict between Alliance and Horde, it’s fitting that many of the mounts for this expansion are not only faction-exclusive, but also reflective of the faction they belong to.

For the goody-two-shoes Alliance, you get solid but pretty vanilla options, as they’re all horses.  There’s the black Smoky Charger, the beige Admiralty Stallion, and the Dapple Gray, whose color is pretty self-explanatory. To obtain them, you’ll first need to get Exalted-level reputation for a particular faction. For example, if you want a Smoky Charger, you’ll need Exalted-level reputation from the Order of Embers. As for the other two, you’ll need the same level of reputation from the Proudmoore Admiralty and Storm’s Wake, respectively. Only after then will you be able to buy the mounts from their respective NPCs for 10,000 WoW gold.

For the brutish and sometimes grotesque Horde, there’s a wider variety of mounts. There’s the spider-like Expedition Bloodswarmer from Talanji’s Expedition, Alabaster Hyena from Voldunai, and Cobalt Pterrordax from Zandalari Empire. Unlocking them is very much like unlocking Alliance mounts – get Exalted-level reputation for a particular faction and buy them for 10,000 gold.

Mounting Oppositions

Other than the fixture faction mounts, Battle for Azeroth will also be giving players access to additional mounts when the player unlocks Allied Races as playable races. For the Alliance, unlocking the Dark Iron Dwarves grants them the Dark Iron Core Hound –which is much cooler and edgier than the other Alliance mounts. As for the Horde, unlocking the Mag’har Orcs gives you theMag’har Direwolf. Finally, for both Alliance and Horde, getting the Zandalari trolls means getting the Zandalari Direhorn. Given the lack of diversity in the Alliance’s mounts, they’ll need it more than the Horde does.

Another way to get Alliance-exclusive mounts would be through Rated Battleground PVP. By participating in this kind of PVP, you’ll earn saddles, which in turn is used to buy mounts. For Alliance, it’s the hippo-like Vicious War Riverbeast, for the Horde it’s the Vicious War Clefthoof, and both factions can buy the Vicious War Basilisk, whose armor varies depending on the faction.

Rides Outside the Team

Outside of the Alliance and Horde dichotomy, there are the more traditional ways of getting WoW mounts.

First, there’s the PVP Arena mounts. For top-tier teams for a particular season, they’ll be getting a Proto-Drake. Currently, the only one confirmed is the Dread Gladiator’s Proto-Drake, which is for Season 1. From the game data, however, it can be seen that this World of Warcraft mount comes in six other colors: black, blue, gold, green, pale, and purple. It’s not yet known which proto-drake will be for which season, but it’s without a doubt that all of them command bragging rights.

And for World PVP, players can unlock the Conqueror’s Scythemaw by unlocking the Conqueror of Azeroth achievement.

For the mounts dropped by the dungeon bosses in Mythic-level runs, they are the following:
  • ·         Tomb Stalker – King Dazzar in King’s Rest.
  • ·         Underrot Crawg – Unbound Abomination in The Underrot.
  • ·         Sharkbait – Harian Sweetie in Freehold.

Yet another way to get mounts and at the same time have fun exploring would be through Island Expeditions. Although it’s a random and slight chance, the mounts unlocked this way are pretty cool and colorful nonetheless. There’s the purple dragon-like Twilight Avenger, Surf Jelly, the simian Craghorn Chasm-Leaper, Squawks the parrot, and Qinsho’s Eternal Hound.

Battle of Azeroth has a lot in store for both Alliance and Horde, and mounts are just a small part of that. Mind you, these aren’t even all of the mounts this expansion has to offer. So, what are you waiting for? Go out into a bigger and better Azeroth and get yourself a good mount.

By the Sea: How To Earn Pisacrilius House Favors

In the kingdom of Great Kourend, it’s vital that you not only earn OSRS gold, but also the favor of each house. It already goes without saying that this includes the prominent Piscarillus house. So, you want or need to max your Favours with this house by and of the sea? Then read up, put on your thinking cap, and become, for a lack of a better term, so highly-favored.

What About Piscarilius

Before you go swimming around doing all sorts of stuff for Piscarilius, here are some things you should know. First and foremost, Piscarilius, obviously, is a house mainly composed of fishermen. Other than fishing, they also dabble in the overseas trade.

The Piscarilius House is the house that owns the port where everyone going to Zeah enters. Newcomers, however, shouldn’t expect a friendly welcome, as the Piscarilius house is deeply mired in crime and corruption, so thieves and smuggles run around–and actually run–the place.

Cranes and Fishing

Still, it’s not all bad. After all, you’ll be getting a few perks from Piscarilius if you gain their favor. The good news is that there are countless ways to do that.

The simplest one to accomplish would be by repairing fishing cranes, which rewards with 0.5% Favour each. These are found across Piscarilius House, and they break down on a regular basis. To repair them, you need level 30 Crafting. And by repairing them, the amount of crafting XP that you’ll receive is three times your level. For example, if your crafting level is 30, you’ll receive 90 XP for every crane repaired.

To repair a crane, you need a hammer, nails (preferably mithril), and three planks. In case you need nails, you can always buy iron nails from Leenz.

Another good way to rack up Favour is by helping Frankie collect fresh fish, and subsequently putting them into a cooler. But before you can do so, you will need to have at least 15% Favour, as well as level 15 Fishing. For this particular task, you have to be fast, as the fresh fish disappears into nothing after around a minute. Each fish is worth 0.2% Favour.

Here’s a handy tip: collect fresh fish from the nearby barrel. You can collect around 20 in one go, and even up to 25 if you’re good at it.

Sandworms and Booty

Upon reaching 30% Favour, you can start hunting for Sandworms. For this, you’ll need level 15 in Hunter, a spade, and five buckets, as you’ll be putting the sandworms you catch in them. To start, go to the area north of Tynan’s Fishing Supplies. Each bucket of sandworm collected will earn you 0.2 Favour.

To dig the worms up faster, click “Walk Here” on the square where the sandworms appear, then swiftly click on the spade in your inventory.

Finally, when you get 75% Favour and level 49 in Thieving, you can now go ahead and steal booty from other people’s houses, just like the usual people who run around Piscarilius. To get an assignment, talk to Captain Khaled, who’s in a huge building south-east of the bank. Before going out to steal, make sure you have a lockpick in order to open the drawers.

What you’ll be doing may be a crime, but it certainly pays—a lot! If you succeed in a heist, you’ll not only be getting 2% Favour, but also a few hundred Old School RuneScape gold, 750 Thieving XP for picking the lock and looting the booty, and another Thieving XP that is worth forty times your Thieving level after giving the booty to Captain Khaled. If that isn’t an impressive heist, then I don’t know what is!

Now that you know how to raise your Favour with Piscarilius to a hundred, you can now start putting this knowledge into practice. So what are you waiting for? Go earn those Favours–you deserve it.

Path of Exile: War for the Atlas – An Entirely New Game

Path of Exile War for the Atlas

The War for the Atlas has arrived in Path of Exile! The seventh expansion in this award-winning ARPG comes in hard after five full years of success by the “ethical” free-to-play game. War for the Atlas introduces many new changes including the conflict between two Lovecraftian entities, the Shaper and the Elder, new gems, the Abyss League, and much, much more.

Continuing off from the Fall of Oriath, the Shaper, who has given players endless headaches, is now challenged by a new entity. The Elder,  supposedly more powerful, encroaches upon the Shaper’s territory with reckless abandon. The Abyss League, the newest league added to PoE, will showcase the Elder’s intruding influence in Wraeclast via fissures on the ground that spawn multiple creatures of the deep. Players can then challenge those creatures. Finishing off all the creatures by following the very end of these fissures will yield many rewards suitable to your character’s level. One can think of this as akin to the rifts in RIFT or FATEs in FFXIV, albeit in an infinitely respawning private-instanced map. This gives players another layer of depth in their game as they traverse through PoE’s original chapters, keeping it fresh for veterans and exciting for newcomers.

Ten new gems have also been included in the game, and these add more skills to the game. The biggest draw of these new gems is the new necromancy-type skills that players can gain. From the simple skill, raise the undead, to quickly teleporting to corpses and making them explode, you will certainly feel the true necromancy theme. Although only ten gems have been added, there are plenty of combinations to choose from to give your newly acquired skills different effects that will surely shape the flow of combat.

An expansion is not complete in Path of Exile without new places to explore, and War for the Atlas provides thirty-two brand new maps with increased challenges, new bosses, and a plethora of new end-game PoE items! Elder and Shaper items are those that you especially want here in War for the Atlas as they provide plenty of meta-changing abilities and attributes to keep that competitive leaderboard cutthroat.

There are also the new-fangled Elder Guardians that serve as bosses in pre-existing maps. They consume what the boss would be on a map, and get stronger in accordance with the consumed boss. They will then serve as the new gatekeeper of the map before you can actually finish. They offer so many more challenges than the bosses players have already come to know and memorize.

All in all, War for the Atlas adds scads of new content for existing players to try their hand at on the leaderboards. Newcomers can frolic in the new features too as they rush to join the ranks of the vets. If you have been having doubts about trying out Path of Exile, now is the best time to give Wraeclast a shot. Available for both PC and Xbox One, the flexibility and strength of this title is readily apparent as it stands the test of time. Head into this Dark Souls-inspired thematic game and experience, arguably, the best isometric ARPG out right now.

Path of Exile: Incursion – A Time Travel Temple Excursion

It hasn’t been so long since The War for the Atlas was released, and now we’re already looking at a new expansion for Path of Exile, Incursion. Much like previous expansions, Wraeclast is once again going to get bigger, will have new mechanics that players will have to figure out to stay on top of their game, and expanded lore that will help us further understand the Vaal.

Short and Sweet Time

Half expansion and half challenger league, Path of Exile: Incursion gives players a peek of the past. Literally, in a sense that players who are up to the task will randomly find portals that would take them to temporal incursions (thus the name of the expansion) set when the Temple of Atzoatl, a massive Vaal temple and the new location – and therefore the centerpiece – of the expansion.

And once again, literally, in a sense that players only have a short window (pun intended) of time in the locations in question. Ten seconds, to be exact. But don’t panic, because you can make your stay last longer by killing the Vaal in these time-space anomalies. The more kills you make, the longer you’ll remain in the room. And don’t worry about missing the loot because you’re too busy killing, as you’ll be given an opportunity to grab the PoE Currency once the clock has hit zero.

Past Affects Future

There are over 11 of these temporal incursions, and it’s essential that you enter all of them, as doing so will enable Alva Valai to pinpoint the Temple of Atzoatl’s location in the present time. And with the new expansion being all about time travel, your actions in the “past” determines not only the temple rooms’ aesthetics and function, but also the level of difficulty of its monsters, the type of monsters you’re going deal with, and the reward they’re going to yield.

For example, there’s an architect in the past that grows poisonous plants. Killing him means you’ll no longer have to deal with anything that is related to lethal flora, making your run much easier. On the other hand, if you choose to spare his life, or even make him more powerful by killing his rival architects, then you’ll have to deal with a humongous noxious plant. Now, why would you want to deal with that?

Because if your build relies on poison, then you’ll want to slay this difficult boss, as it will yield a one-of-a-kind item that will be vital to you.

Aside from the looks and kind of enemies you’ll have to slay, what you do in the temporal inclusions will create doorways and passages. Make the right ones, and you’ll have the chance to enter the boss’s room.

A Shift in Skills

Last but not least, skills are going to have a revamp, especially Vaal Skills, the active skill that was corrupted by Vaal Orbs and have altered effects for better or worse. The latter, despite many of them being unique and useful, have been largely ignored because they need to be charged first before they can be used. To make them more palatable to the players, Grinding Gear Games has decided to lessen the needed charges to use the skill. Also, when Vaal skill gems don’t have enough charges, players will be able to use the non-Vaal version of the skill it provides.

As for non-Vaal skills, Incinerate, Rain of Arrows, Infernal Blow, Cold Snap, Charged Dash, Double Strike, Lacerate, Ground Slam, and Power Siphon will be reworked. And finally, there will be five new trap skills and six new Vaal skills. Talk about a wider skill library.

With Incursion, Path of Exile’s future is going to be a blast from and because of the past. So, don’t leave Wraeclast now, and come back if you already have, because this time you’re going to have a good time.

Some Reasons Why Fortnite Trumped PUBG on Twitch

When Fortnite released its Battle Royale mode, everybody thought it was going to compete with PUBG. It has not done much to PUBG's player base yet, so they have been coexisting for some time. However, now, Fortnite has beaten PUBG as a more streamed and played game on Twitch.

How did this happen?

Fatigue

PUBG is exciting yes, but it starts out really slow. There are mostly the same actions throughout rounds. You jump out of the plane, gather supplies and equipment, hide and look for other players, race to the safe zone, and repeat. Sure, there is some variety in the two maps that are available to play in, but you can easily end up getting tired of those them after multiple encounters.

Meanwhile, Fortnite may only have one map, but it is smaller and more compact. You are more likely to encounter players throughout the game as well. There is also the ability of knowing the location of chests beforehand. They are great for setting up ambushes, which adds another layer of strategy to the game. Overall, Fortnite is just a little better at delivering the action more often, which gives it an advantage over PUBG.

Cheaters

With PUBG's servers open to Chinese players, the incidence of cheating increased dramatically. It also has led to the steady decline of PUBG's player base, and now that decline has given way to Fortnite's popularity. Granted, the players who are moving to the latter have helped boost its popularity.

Quicker Rounds, and More Action

Fortnite is much better at being streamed than PUBG. The smaller map gives a higher player encounter rate, and the added feature of building forts while playing is just amazing. In addition to that, there are things other than building forts you that you cannot do in PUBG that you can in Fortnite. For example, riding a rocket or using an impact grenade is one aspect of the game. These kinds of features give a really different and more enjoyable experience to the game.

What Does This Mean for PUBG?

Until PUBG solves the rampant cheating that has been increasing within the game, players will be reluctant to return to it. Even if there are updates (the new PUBG skins look great) and additional features, the experience of playing the game is has been ruined by the cheating players. They cannot even begin to lure new players in, because who would want to pay to play an unfair game?

New World of Warcraft Mounts in the Battle for Azeroth Expansion

Set after the fall of the Burning Legion introduced in the previous expansion, the adventurers are called to save the world (again) and determine which faction will lead the devastated world into the future in The Battle for Azeroth. The fate of Azeroth is in your hands, adventurer. Will you lead it to ruin or prosperity?

As the release of the newest expansion of World of Warcraft draws closer, more and more information is being revealed. From the new Warfronts mode to new mounts previously unannounced, there's something new to learn about the expansion.

Other articles may have covered mounts released earlier, such as the bee mount or the brutosaur, but another mount has been introduced that sparked many players' interest. It's the Forsaken Felbat mount, otherwise known as the Undercity Plaguebat.

The Undercity Plaguebat

The mount looks like a gargoyle with huge bat ears (that look like horns when viewed straight on from the front), as well as bat wings. It has four limbs tipped with wicked claws. Its shoulders and arms are covered with spiky armor sleeves with a glowing skull decorating the shoulder. The saddle is a chair braced on the bat's back, with candles glowing softly behind it.

While it sounds (and looks) very cool, not much else is known about it, such as whether players may be able to obtain and use them. Also, if they are able, how? Is it a quest reward, or sold only in the online store? Is it a re-skin of an NPC's mount? All these questions can only be answered either in future updates, or when the expansion pack is released in August.

More Interesting Updates

Data miners have found other possible World of Warcraft mounts to be made available in the expansion. There's the Hivemind Multi-seat mount for example. Its unique skill is to allow multiple players to link up, making its movement speed faster and faster the more players join. The mount's model seems to look like a large jellyfish-like blob, so how it will look when players ride it is quite hard to imagine.

Another interesting mount is the gryphon. There are three versions of them, namely, the Reins of the Proodmoore Sea Scout, the Reins of the Stormsong Coastwatcher, and the Reins of the Dusky Waycrest Gryphon. The only difference between them is their colors, and which faction to join and raise your standing in. To get the first, you must have an ‘Exalted' standing in the Proudmoore Admiralty faction, and the second and third are the same, but with the Storm's Wake and Order of Embers factions respectively.

In a more adorable train of thought, data miners have also found some spells related to the Vulpera. They are a fox-like race that lives on Zandalar, and a spell can be used to summon a Vulpera pup (in four different colors). How and why they are important is still unknown, but everybody can agree that they are adorable.

More information is sure to come in the weeks leading up to the release. While waiting, be sure to continue enjoying World of Warcraft!

How to Download PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds on iPhone, iPad, and Android

1.     Go to the app catalog (iTunes App Store or Google Play Store)
2.     Search PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds Mobile
3.     Select and download version published by Tencent Games
4.     Enjoy PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds on mobile!

The problem comes for those who are not in the United States or Canada. Of course, there is a way around this.

Option One: Change Your Apple/Google Account Location

For Apple users, the process is quite lengthy. You must create a new account in iCloud and use an email address that you have access to. Then, go to the App Store once the account is created and, when prompted to complete your Apple ID, choose 'United States' as your location. Skip the section of adding a payment method and input an address. Go back to the App Store and search for PUBG Mobile by Tencent Games. Finally, download and enjoy! Be sure to backup your data before logging out.

For Android users, it is very simple to create a profile and change locations in Google Payments Center. You'll need an address as well, which is pretty simple to get. Once the address is verified, you can download the app from the Play Store.

Option Two: Alternative Methods

Particularly for Android users, they have the option to download the .apk or .obb game files and manually install them, by bypassing going to the Play Store. Of course, this carries a risk of opening your device to potentially harmful files, but it is up to you to take this route or not.
There is also a chance that your friend could have the files needed or an app-sharing app on their device. It is way easier than creating a new account.

Option Three: Wait

If the options above are not to your liking, all you can do is wait for the app to release within your region. You will miss out on events and any PUBG items they might give out, but it may be worth the wait. Whatever method you decide to use to download and play PUBG Mobile, we hope you enjoy it!

The Dreaded PUBG Circle of Death

Mention the words “circle” and “death” in the same breath and you’re sure to conjure up images of the infamous Xbox fiasco from over a decade ago. Nowadays, there is another circle that’s making waves in the gaming world. Though not as widespread as Xbox’s Red Ring of Death, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds’own version of the Circle of Death is as well-known as it is detested.

However, as loathed as it is by some, it is a component that’s intricately woven into PUBG’s gameplay and core identity. You simply have to live with it and, if possible, use it to as leverage if you want to get the most of the PUBG experience. Here’s a look at all the things you need to know about the notorious Blue Circle otherwise known as the PUBG Playzone.

It has a Purpose

As much as you might detest it, the Blue Circle does indeed serve a purpose in the game. Fighting in an expansive area for an inordinate amount of time can get stale. Chances are, people will just crawl into their own hiding spaces and wait for the less patient players to come out into the open. This makes for easy pickings, after all. That’s exactly what the Blue Circle is for! It forces the action to take place rather than just waiting for player-to-player engagement. That’s also what makes the game so much more exciting. It’s the long buildup—knowing you’ll inevitably have to face all other surviving players to be the last man standing—that makes you edgy and sweaty with anticipation.

You Can Use the Circle to Your Advantage

Much like the way you use PUBG items to win, you can use the Blue Circle to your advantage. It’s all about time-awareness and positioning. You can’t just shoot your way out of every encounter if you wish to be the last man standing. Sure, it’s a fun way to play, but it doesn’t assure success—in fact, it even lessens your chances to bring home the much-coveted chicken dinner. Play smart by being aware of when the circle will close in and you can have an ally on your side instead of an ominous deterrent. As much as possible, position yourself in the middle early on and try to move toward the edges later.

How and when you make your move is essential. Engage your opponent too early and you risk giving your position away. This will leave you in quite a predicament should you be cornered in a tight spot once the blue circle starts to shrink. To avoid this rather difficult situation, you need to develop a keen sense of awareness in order to use the circle to your advantage.

There are certain things that conjure up a strong sense of urgency. PUBG’s Circle of Death is certainly one of them. Few things force players to snap back into focus and bring their A-game the way the dreaded Blue Circle of death can. Love it or hate it, the Blue Circle is here to stay. It’s up to you to adjust your strategy around it so you can get the ever-elusive chicken dinner.

Fast WayTo Make Money in World of Warcraft: Legion

Being rich or at least, financially stable in an MMORPG is always a must. Having less to no gold in a character is paralyzing because there are a lot of expenses in MMOs. Repair bills come in big numbers if you are raiding a lot. Crafting materials that you might need are most of the time expensive because usually, we don’t have time to farm for those. Yeah, having gold is a priority. Being rich in-game also doesn’t hurt.

In Search of Guides

World of Warcraft is no exception to making sure you have enough gold for basic necessities in-game. Actually, it is more needed and most beneficial if you have lots of gold in WoWsince you can pay your subscription with WoW Token which can be bought by, yes, gold.

As I scoured the internet for guides inefficient moneymaking in World of Warcraft, I came to a realization that farming for raw materials is still the king. It has been the most lucrative way to earn gold quickly in the game. Again, nobody has time for farming those nodes. By the time you mustered all the patience to gather crafting materials and decide to go farm, you will find out that there are numerous players already picking them. Nodes aren’t shared. Once a player harvests a node, you have to go find another. Or maybe just wait for the respawn of the same node but that won’t make the endeavour efficient anymore. That is why it is really a deterring way to earn gold but still, it is the best way so you and I have no choice.

The Farming Guide

There are tons and tons of guides in making gold in World of Warcraft out there. Some of which are exploits and we don’t want those. Let us go with the legit way of farming without the risk of getting banned. Farming gold with an exploit in an account that will get banned eventually is pointless after all.

Even the legit farming guides, they are countless. No worries, here is one of the most in-depth farming video guide for the latest expansion, Legion. The video tackles on the things that you need and how to go about the crafting materials farming:

If you did not view the six-minute video, you would be needing Forgotten Techniques of the Broken Isles of Herbalism and Mining, depending on which mats and nodes you will be farming. The video guide suggested that for Herbalism, you would need at least Rank 3 Herbalism so that you can farm for Starlight Rose. They sell very well in the Auction House as they are very needed in crafting. For Mining, on the other hand, you will be concentrating more on those Leystones. Rank 3 Leystone Mining is needed to assure drops and how many of those appear on every node. Remember, we are not wasting any time and we are trying to be very efficient. I suggest you scroll up and watch the video if you haven’t.

Don’t forget those useful addons in World of Warcraft for Gathering. Gathermate 2 is a very nice addon to have when gathering on a large scale.

Perfect this farming routine and you will be rich in no time!

Mobile vs. PC: A Blow-by-Blow PUBG Comparison

Cross-platform game titles have now become commonplace. However, the transition from one platform to another—especially from PC to limited capability mobile devices—isn’t always met with success. With the way PlayerUknown’s Battlegrounds shook the gaming landscape, it was only a matter of time before people clamored for a mobile-friendly version of it. This is something that good folks over at PUBG Corporation willingly obliged with PUBG Mobile’s release last month.
Inevitably, the move to the mobile platform drew many comparisons with the original PC version. This is pretty much expected—especially with a game as high-profile as PUBG. Here’s a look at the key differences—at least the ones that are immediately noticeable—in PUBG when played on these two platforms.

Graphics

Graphics-wise, there’s just no comparison. There’s just no way for mobile devices to crank up as much juice for PUBG to operate on the way amped-up PC rigs can let it. That said, the transition to PUBG isn’t all that rough at all. While there are indeed hardware limitations, the graphics on PUBG Mobile is still decent enough for players to engage a level of feel the realism that the game is noted for in its previous incarnation.

While it’s true that the graphics level of detail on PUBG Mobile isn’t on par with its PC and console version, it still has the edge over its mobile counterparts. Besides, the fact that mobile devices don’t have large screens, to begin with, makes it easy to overlook the lack of graphics power. PUBG Mobile offers excellent resolution considering its size and hardware muscle (or lack thereof).

Controllability

PUBG’s controls ultimately lend itself to the keyboard and mouse combo—even more so than on console. With the many variations that players need to master, translating its controls to the mobile setting can be somewhat of a challenge. Now comes what may be the clincher for some. The good news is that PUBG mobile offers players the chance to customize their on-screen controls. While this may be passable for some, a vast majority of players just can’t get over the fact that so many controls are packed into a tiny screen. Don’t expect to have the same level of success rate on PUBG Mobile. In short, the chicken dinner will most likely have to wait.

Overall Gameplay

Regarding overall gameplay, there isn’t much of a difference between PUBG’s PC and mobile versions. Everything from the plane drop right down to the weapons can be found on mobile—even the viewing scope for snipers is present. To top the icing on the proverbial cake, players still have the option of customization via PUBG fashion and skins. In fact, there are considerably more customization options on mobile compared to the PC build!

While there’s no masking the fact that the overall gaming experience is so much better on its original platforms (consoles included), PUBG Mobile does offer one aspect that others do not: sheer mobility. It allows players who are always on the go the luxury to get their PUBG fix anytime, anywhere. To me, that is a welcome treat that deserves a round of applause.

Retro Clothing's Back in Style in PUBG

Aside from the new map that's in the works, two new cosmetic crates are being introduced to PUBG. Specifically, players will be getting the Fever crate and the Militia crate. While the Militia crate contains more edge for your avatar, the Fever crate contains more fashionable clothes.

Tear Up the Battlegrounds with Style

The Fever crate contains many clothing choices that will remind players of the 70s and 80s. Dance your way through your opponents and the maps with these rockin' threads. Mix and match the different clothing the crate contains, from turtlenecks and jackets to scarves and gloves. Here's a full list, if you're interested.

  • ·         White Zest Turtleneck
  • ·         Beige School Shoes
  • ·         Mesh Polo Shirt
  • ·         Khaki Combat Gloves
  • ·         Coral Checkered Shirt
  • ·         Pink Hi-top Canvas Sneakers
  • ·         Retro Polo Shirt
  • ·         Coral Combat Pants
  • ·         Zest Sunglasses
  • ·         Zest Loafers with Socks
  • ·         Denim Bootcut Pants
  • ·         Zest Bootcut Pants
  • ·         Zest Silk Scarf
  • ·         Floral Retro Jacket
  • ·         Zest Retro Jacket
  • ·         Zest Denim Jacket
  • ·         Cropped Corset
  • ·         Zest Checkered Skirt

So get out there and start collecting.

Wreak Havoc with the Militia Crate

On the other hand, the Militia crate brings out the badass in you with its rebellious theme. They even drop the ‘Erangel resistance force outfit' and the ‘Miramar frontiersman outfit'. What's even better, this crate can be obtained free of charge by spending BP. Here's a list of the possible PUBG fashion items you can get.

  • ·         Gray Tank Top
  • ·         Red or White Raglan T-shirt
  • ·         Pink Polo Shirt
  • ·         Vintage Polo Shirt
  • ·         Gray Military Shirt
  • ·         Black Military Trousers
  • ·         Black Long-Sleeved Turtleneck
  • ·         Brown Utility Belt
  • ·         Red Camo Tank Top
  • ·         Black Military Boots
  • ·         Battle Belt

  • ·         Black Military Cap
  • ·         Brown Cowboy Hat
  • ·         Faux Leather Jacket
  • ·         White Cowboy Hat
  • ·         Black Military Skirt

Get Those Wardrobes Updated

The time to save up and spend BP (or money) is now. Get these crates and outfits before they get pulled out of circulation. Granted, they've just been added and it'll still be a long time, but don't wait too long. These crates also add a touch of color to PUBG's rather drab fashion lineup, though that might be a disadvantage for those who prefer sneaking around.

The brighter colors might be more noticeable in certain environments, which is bad when you usually don't want others to notice you. However, it's totally okay if that's the purpose you were aiming for. At any rate, go and dominate the battlegrounds with a style only you can pull off.

Enjoy PUBG!
