You’ve probably heard of longtime Old School RuneScape players talking about the “Watchtower”. Yes, it’s a structure, but when veterans talk about it, they actually mean the quest. So, do you have plans to take on it? It can be quite tough. To help you out with that, we have this guide for the first part for you.
Strap yourselves in and get ready to take notes!
What is Watchtower Quest OSRS All About?
The quest is simply known as that, Watchtower. Lore-wise, it’s about the strife between the city of Yanille and Gu’Tanoth, a city of ogres that lies southwest of it. As the name of the quest suggests, the heart of this conflict is a Watchtower OSRS, which you have to repair so that the town can aptly defend itself.
Yanille is a members-only town. If you have no plans of becoming a member as well, then this information is just going to be on a nice-to-know basis. And if you are a member, you should definitely take it, as aside from 5000 OSRS gold, it also gives 4 Quest Points, the Watchtower Teleport spell, and a whopping 15,200 Magic XP, and of course, a rather interesting story in Gielinor!
What Do I Need For the Quest?
For this quest, you need 15 Magic, 15 Thieving, 25 Agility, 14 Herblore, and 40 Mining. As for items, you need 20 coins, a gold bar, tinderbox, death rune, Dragon bones, guam potion/leaf and a vial of water, a light source, bat bones, and Jangerberries.
Also, this quest involves fighting a level 68 Ogre. The quest doesn’t have any hard requirements on any combat skills, so it’s up to whether the ones you have will suffice or not.
On the other hand, the recommended items are anti-dragon/dragonfire shield or antifire potions, ring of dueling, stamina potions, and good food and armor. For added mobility and therefore shorter completion time, have a mith grapple and a crossbow.
Getting Started: For the Want of a Nail
To start the quest, you have to talk to the Watchtower Wizard, which you can find in the eponymous watchtower. He’ll tell you that the watchtower, which he cast a spell on to keep ogres out, is not working because the crystals have been stolen. It’s your task to bring them back, and the first place you’ll be combing is the tower grounds.
You can use the main ladder of the main tower to go up and down, but we recommend that you use the trellis to avoid the conversation and get Agility XP as a bonus. Given how it’s just the start of the quest, you’ll only be finding fingernails instead of the crystals in the bush in the far northwest area. There are other things you’ll find over there, but you don’t need them for the quest.
The wizard will inform you that the fingernails are from skavids, the ogre’s servants. To find the culprit, you need to enter Gu’Tanoth, the city of ogres, and to do that you need to complete a relic by obtaining its three pieces. Each piece will come from one of the three ogre chiefs.
Tribal Warfare
First off is Og’s tribe. Head south and you’ll find it in an island full of jangleberries. Get some because you’ll need them for the quest later on. Grew, a member of the tribe, will ask you to kill Gorad. You’ll find him on Toban’s island. To get there, you have to either enter the Skavid caves four times without a map or go around Gu’Tanoth. But before you do, if you don’t have a death rune, which you need for the quest, later on, you can find one south of Gu’tanoth, in a hole surrounded by rocks.
After killing Gorad, talk to Toban. Give him the dragon bones, and then he’ll tell you where he’s hiding Og’s gold. With that out of the way, go back to Og, give him Gorad’s tooth and he’ll give you a piece of the relic, the first crystal, and the yellow crystal. As for the OSRS gold, he’ll give you the last piece of the relic once you return it to him.
You’re halfway done with the OSRS Watchtower quest. For the
rest, it’s either you do it yourself if you really can’t wait, or follow the
second half of our guide. Whatever your choice may be, Old School Runescape Watchtower is an awesome quest
that deserves to be finished.
I love this game while I was teaching in Shanghai.

When playing OSRS all aspects of the game require RuneScape gold. They would be very happy if they had enough gold, but OSRS gold is hard to come by. Not enough gold was obtained by completing in-game tasks to meet our needs. We should avoid transactions between individual users on the forum (this is what most scams happen). The easiest way is to go to a safe and reliable online store to buy OSRS gold. I want to say that Rsgoldfast is the best place to buy OSRS gold.

ReplyDeleteThe Runelite HD mod was rsgoldfast created by 117scape and is intended to enhance the game's visuals. Jagex, who was just hours away from the release of the game, contacted its creator to request that they cease work on it as this was RS gold an area where the company would be exploring in the future.
