Favorite Vanity Headgears in WoW Classic
Heads Up: WoW Classic’s Favorite Helmets
To some
adventurers in Azeroth, fashion is
just as important as a function—if not more. It’s obviously not a practical
preference, but people have the right to have fun and play however they want.
And of all the pieces of gear, the helmet is one of the most conspicuous, if
not the most, so lots of players choose snazzy headgear. here are the most ten popular vanity helmets that you can buy with WoW Classic gold.
Red Defias Mask
Nothing says badass
bandit better than a red mask over the
nose and mouth, and that’s what exactly the Red
Defias Mask is. Fittingly, but rather unfairly, only the Rogue class can equip it, so your dream
of a gangster, Paladin has sadly been
dashed.
Considering the
title of the article, it is not only functionless style-wise but also
mechanics-wise, as Defias thieves will still attack you!
Eye of Rend
Despite the fancy
name, it’s just an eye patch. With
it, you can pretend to be a pirate, a mercenary from a post-apocalyptic America
movie, or a soldier and espionage expert from a Japanese video game.
Fortunately,
unlike the Red Defias Mask, all classes can equip it. Plus, it has some stat
bonuses, so it’s not altogether functionless.
Dragonstalker Helm
Having a helm made out of a dragon’s skull is an
RPG staple. It’s a cranium cover that practically screams how much of a true
dragon slayer you are. Aside from being a cool headgear, it’s also one of the
eight pieces of the Dragonstalker Set,
which is exclusively for hunters.
Dropped by Onyxia, this helm has quite the stat
bonuses as well. Plus, if you complete the set, you get bonus attack power to Aspect of the Hawk, bonus stamina for
your pets, and a chance to inflict Expose
Weakness by attacking the target.
Crown of Destruction
Some gears are on fire.
By that, we mean super-stylish–that’s just how the slang is nowadays. But then
there is a helmet that is literally fire:
the Crown of Destruction.
Yes, it is just
fire on the head of the wearer, which can only be equipped by Mail armor classes. And that’s exactly
what makes it such a sought-after piece of equipment.
Nemesis Skullcap
Maybe the whole
draconic helm aesthetic isn’t your thing, but you still want the skull of a dead creature on your head.
If that’s the case for you, then the Nemesis
Skullcap is something you’ll definitely covet. Rather than a dragon’s, it’s
from a demon, making you a lot more badass and frightening! The bright green
Felglow definitely helps in that effect.
Unfortunately,
only Warlocks can equip it. A shame
that much like the Dragonstalker Helm, this headgear is also class-exclusive.
But hey, maybe this can encourage you to make a character that is either these
two classes. Or better yet, both!
Preceptor’s Hat
The last, but definitely not the least, helmet on our list that you can by using WoW Classic Gold, and old piece of gear: the
Preceptor’s Hat. That’s a fancy name
for your usual wizard’s hat. Think Gandalf, Dumbledore, and the sorting hat!
Aside from being a
pretty cool headgear, it’s got good stats that are well-suited to spellcasting
classes. To get one, you have to hope that Heigan
the Unclean, a boss in Naxxramas,
drops one. It’s a rather low 20%, but hey, it’s better than nothing!
So there you have
it, a few of the many headgears that have become popular in WoW solely for
their visuals. Did we miss any? Do you have other cool, funky, or downright bizarre
helmets you have in mind? If the answer is yes, you better tell us. Who knows?
We may even feature them on our next list!

Connecting Before Connecting: Does VPN Affect Speed While Playing OSRS?
As an MMO player, aside from knowing basic fixes on connectivity issues, you also need to know connection-related utility programs. And if you are an Old School Runescape (OSRS) player that wants to try OSRS gold trading, there’s one you might be interested in: VPNs. Yes, the one that, in layman’s terms, lets you connect to another country’s internet. But there’s more to it than just that, especially when it comes to gaming!
To help you come up with an informed decision on whether you should use one or not, here’s more vital info about this popular tool, how it affects your gaming, and which one you should use if you decide to.
Connecting the Basics
VPN is shorthand for Virtual Private Network, a kind of connection that allows people in a private connection to join a private network. Those joining the private network in question benefit by having the security and access that private network has. Most of the time, those connecting to a VPN are looking for a way to get past the restrictions of their country’s internet. This is because those connecting assume the same location as that of the private connection, thus allowing them to bypass their country’s restriction, and have access to the websites available in the VPN’s location.
Other than the private connection’s location, you also get the connection’s IP address. In fact, a lot of OSRS players use VPNs for that very reason, as they use it to hide their location. Using bots to farm and sell OSRS gold that will be traded later on is illegal behavior, thus the use of VPNs. While their reasons for using VPN may be different, the principle is the same: the player’s connection assumes the location of the VPN’s, effectively hiding his whereabouts from IP tracers.
Finally, there are players that use a VPN for encryption. There are varying levels of encryption. The higher the better, but the slower the connection will likely be.
Never Faster, A Little Slower
Now that we’ve answered what a VPN is and why OSRS players use it, let’s now answer the question we’ve been waiting for: does VPN affect gaming speed? The answer is yes. The general notion is that it slows down internet speed, while the truth is that it’s not always the case and that there are many factors as to how a VPN affects internet speed.
The first would be the physical distance between you and the VPN you’re connecting to. It should go without saying that the longer the distance is, the slower the connection will be. Another would be the quality of the server, as well as if the server you’re connecting to have bandwidth limitations. The better the server is, the more easily it can process encryption and web traffic, which in turn means a faster connection.
Your firewall and CPU power can also have an effect on your VPN speed. While the former is self-explanatory, the latter determines speed because it affects encryption speed. Lastly, your physical setup can also be a factor in how fast your internet speed is while you’re connected to a VPN. According to some users, being connected to a LAN cable is better than a Wi-Fi connection. This is more of a general rule as, VPN or no VPN, this can apply to your setup. However, such a setup is only applicable to PCs, as a lot of laptops no longer have the need for a LAN cable for obvious reasons.
Hopefully, with everything we’ve mentioned, you’ll now be able to decide whether you should go for a VPN or not. Whatever your answer may be, the important thing is that you’re having fun in Gielinor.

WoW Classic Darkmoon Faire Guide
Looking to splash some color onto your otherwise drab
routine in WoW Classic? Then why not go to the Darkmoon Faire? Not only is it a great way for you to shop and
spend your hard-earned WoW Classic gold,
but while you’re at it, you can also meet up with your online friends and have
a bit of fun by playing a minigame or two. The Darkmoon Faire is known to offer
players great rewards should they be willing to put in the effort.
What’s there to discover in the Darkmoon Faire and where can
you find it? We’ll be discussing all that and more. So if you’re interested to
learn about this quaint faire, allow our Darkmoon Faire guide to illuminate
your way.
The History of the
Darkmoon Faire
The Darkmoon Faire first came to be when Patch 1.6 was released way back in 2005. During that time, there wasn’t
really much to get excited about. However, as more patches which further
optimized the game got implemented, features such as minigames, vendors
exclusive to the faire, and even quests for you to dive into were thrown into
the mix. It’s been a decade-and-a-half since it was first introduced, but the
faire has always been a great way for the players to loosen up and take a break
from the relentless grinding.
Where to Find the
Darkmoon Faire
Unlike other timed events, the Darkmoon Faire pops up once a
month and lasts for a week until the next month. Specifically, the faire arrives
on the first Friday of every month to set and officially opens to the public on
the first Monday of the month. While setting up, you won’t be able to interact
with the vendors, games, or NPCs that have their quests until they’ve finished
preparing. The location of the Darkmoon Faire varies, as the venue rotates
between Mulgore that’s southwest of Thunder Bluff and Elwynn Forest which is on the south of Goldshire. In a way, each of the two venues is located in the
vicinity of the Alliance and the Horde.
Things You Can Only
Do In the Darkmoon Faire
There are a lot of things that you can only do in the
Darkmoon Faire! For starters, you can play minigames. There are two games that
are exclusive to the faire: The Humanoid
Cannonball and Tank Battle Simulator.
The Humanoid Cannonball puts you in a Blastenheimer
5000 Ultra Cannon and launches you through the air towards the water
target. Although if you don’t hit the target, let’s just say there will be
consequences for you to face. The Tank Battle Simulator, on the other hand, is
a simulation wherein you can test your tank commander
skills. You’ll be using a DarkmoonTonk
and be pitted against other players. Whoever is the last person standing wins
the game. Note that both of these games don’t award any prizes whatsoever. The
mini games are there for you to simply compete against your friends.
Collect Tickets
Similar to a carnival, you can earn tickets and turn them in
for rewards. These tickets can be earned by doing a series of quests to NPCs
that are in the faire. The most that you can earn in a quest is 40 tickets.
There are 9 items that you can buy with tickets, and these can be bought
through GelvasGrimegate.
Here are the items that you can get:
