3 ESSENTIAL TIPS FOR NEW PATH OF EXILE PLAYERS

Path of Exile Tips for Beginners

It soon becomes apparent to new players of Grinding Gear Games' popular hack-and-slash Path of Exile that it is indeed a deep game and certain aspects of the ARPG can be overwhelming at times. Getting your head around PoE Orbs, PoE currency and leveling can seem like a sizeable task at first. However, with just a few short tips, you can manage to wrap your head around the F2P sensation in just a short time.
Keep Your Orbs Handy
Orbs play a massive part in the Path of Exile currency system and beyond and you will need to familiarize yourself with them. You will come across several different orbs, ranging from Chaos Orbs, the Regal Orb, Divine Orb, Orbs of Regret, and so on. The most valuable piece of advice that can be given to you as far as orbs are concerned is to not use the orbs that you come across in the early stages. They can have significant value to the player, especially as you progress through the game. With that in mind, you should save these orbs for a short while, or at least dedicate them to enhancing/leveling your equipment.
There are a few things you should avoid doing with orbs too, particularly when you come across Jeweller's Orbs or Orbs of Fusing. Once you decide on the gear or weapons you are going to level, you will want to avoid using the orbs to craft sockets, since it is cheaper for you to buy the items with the sockets that you want. It will turn out cheaper for your key item in the long run. On the subject of wasting orbs, keep in mind that Chaos Orbs are at a premium, so remember to save them for leveling high-level gear.
Never Underestimate the Importance of Maps
If you have played games such as Guild Wars, Blade and Soul, Diablo, and such, you will know that maps play a key role. In Path of Exile, maps play a pretty significant role as well, and are considered to be end-game content. You will come across them quite a lot when looting your way through the game, which tends to drop once reaching level 60 as a rule, but you can find them earlier on.
Tier 1 maps are what you will be aiming to reach, which come in at level 68. With these maps, you can access key areas that play host to unique items, bosses via portals. These portals can only be accessed once, so make sure to farm the maps that you need. In a similar fashion to certain items, maps can be modded and consist of magic, rare and unique varieties. Each map will also have different monsters and layouts, so it is important to use the map that caters to your playstyle. These maps can be chopped and changed through the orb system, similarly to how items work. Upgraded maps will feature rarer item and monster variety, but will increase the difficulty of the area as a consequence.
Path of Exile Tips for Beginners

Focus on Leveling Up
In this kind of game, the starting class you choose typically becomes a bit of a setback if you change your mind as you progress. Thankfully, Path of Exile is far more flexible, and you generally have a lot of opportunities to change certain aspects of your build to your liking.
As we mentioned earlier, you need to be careful with how you use your orbs and currency items, and that rings true with leveling your character. If you are entering a standard league or events of a similar kind, then spending orbs isn't such a bad thing since leveling items can be more difficult to get your hands on. As a rule of thumb, you should avoid spending orbs while leveling, since it can prove to be very expensive when you could simply find the items that you need. If you already have an idea of the character class you want to pursue, then you should look into purchasing leveling unique items that suit your build best. This is something that will once more save your currency and time. Skills and support gems meanwhile, are something that you don't need to worry too much about in terms of how they will affect your build because they are much more universally applicable, so just experiment with the ones which suit you!
Finally, during your leveling process, you should do your best to complete prophecies. You could come across prophecies of high value, which you can keep hold of to sell for a decent profit, or use them at a later date. Trash to Treasure, for example, will turn a normal item into a unique one, while the likes of Fated Connections and Jeweller's Touch are capable of creating links to a single orb.
Remember these tips as you tread the Path of Exile. They will help you utilize your PoE currency and PoE orbs better. Good luck and happy hunting!

Best Classes to Farm Gold with in WoW Classic

WoW Classic Classes
Source: gfycat.com

As if farming gold in vanilla WoW wasn’t already a difficult task, WoW Classic gold ups the ante by making the grind even harder! Since we’re going back to basics, WoW Classic doesn’t have the accessibility and “hacks” that the current World of Warcraft has. WoW Gold is essential in this game if you want to progress, even further from where you are now, and knowing which class to pick beforehand can relieve a big chunk of the burden. We’ll be showcasing three of the best classes to choose from if you want to farm gold with ease, and why you should consider one of those classic wow classes as your main.

But First, Take Up a Profession

Besides choosing the right World of Warcraft Class, taking up a profession early on in the game is one of the best ways for you to even make more gold. As soon as they become available, you ought to pick one or two to start earning at this stage. The Gathering profession, in particular, is the best one to farm gold. Although it’s quite tedious, the amount of vanilla wow gold you’ll be getting will be way more compared to other professions. If you’re looking for a bit of fun while farming, then Skinning and Blacksmithing are the two perfect options. WoW power leveling up while doing these professions will help you in the long run since you’ll be exposed to different terrains, making you knowledgeable about the different places where you can farm certain materials. You’ll also be able to level up your skill level at a normal pace thanks to the fact that you started out early. Many players tend to rush their professions later on in the game, which isn’t advised since you’ll be wasting time (and money even though you can buy cheap wow classic gold) instead of doing other worthwhile activities in-game. Basically, the early bird gets the worm!

Mage

The mage is a suitable choice for a class that you can easily farm world of warcraft classic gold off of. This class is considered to be broken (in a good way) thanks to their AoE spells. Mages can kill mobs in a matter of seconds, making them perfect classes to annihilate enemies lurking in the wild. Besides being a great class for earning gold, they’re very easy to level up! Just go to one or two dungeons and you’ll be done in a matter of minutes, with loot in tow. This spellcaster is perfect if you’re only looking for a class to just farm gold with.

Hunter

Although debatable, the Hunter class is considered to be the best farming class out of all the ones on this list. Professions such as Mining, Herbalism, and Skinning are great for this class since you can farm much-needed crafting materials for yourself instead of buying wow at the auction house. Hunters are great for people who play alone since they’re conducive to soloing. Going on raids is like a cakewalk for a hunter. The only downside is that you’ll have to get ammo and feed your pet all the time and that costs money.

Warlock

Warlocks are arcanists/shamans (whether you’re from the Alliance or Horde) that possess great magical power. This World of Warcraft Classic class is one of the quicker classes to wow classic power leveling up both alone or with a group. Besides being a fun class to master, it’s also more rewarding to use—especially during raids. Some of the best professions to pair with the Warlock class are Tailoring, Engineering, and Mining. The Warlock class has tons of different abilities up its sleeve, making it a great pick up for those looking for more unconventional types of classes to play while earning a decent amount of classic wow gold at the same time.

So those are our top three picks for the best classes to farm or to buy WoW Classic gold! Are there any classes that we’ve missed? Let us know by leaving a comment or two below!

WoW Classic Leveling Tips For Warriors

WoW Classic Leveling

If you are looking for a comprehensive way to level up the Warrior class in WoW Classic, then here are a few helpful tips that will have you rising through the ranks in no time. But before you head out hunting for that WoW Classic Gold with your Warrior, there are a few things to keep in mind first!

A brief introduction

Players who choose the Warrior class will notice three talent trees: Arms, Fury, and Protection. Each one has its own unique traits to cater to different play styles, and whichever is chosen will ultimately determine how fast you level up. Arms are generally considered the more flexible of the three, whereas choosing Protection can be more of a grind. The downside is the lower damage inflicted, though it can be seen as a more viable choice if you are heading down to dungeons with a group.

Gear and Other Tips

Should you choose to use Fury and Protection, which are arguably the slower options, then it is important that you use weapons that have a high DPS output. The most effective part of a Warrior's gear is the weapons that they use, and this should be taken into consideration when choosing the particular class. Warriors suffer from slower wow classic leveling than other classes, and are more dependent on the gear that they use. Your gear choices are critical, and you will want to utilize it as much as you can. Therefore, making sure that you have gear that has Strength and Agility along with it will help you to increase your damage stats, which circles back to the need of using weapons with higher damage. From a defensive perspective, using Spirit is particularly beneficial for Warriors, as they have the benefit of higher HP regeneration.

As Warriors are at a disadvantage compared to others when power leveling, some tips should be kept in mind, especially when approaching mobs. For example, you shouldn't waste your abilities on mobs, and should learn to spend your rage wisely. In what is considered to be quite a universal approach to MMORPGs, you should also stick to taking on mobs that are around the same level as you are. While on the subject of skills, if you have chosen the protection route, then you should take what is needed in the early stages and skip what isn't in training. Focus on getting Cleave, Overpower, Shield Bash, and Thunder Clap to Rank 1 as your priority.

As a side note, farming wow gold can be a slow process for Warriors, and this should be kept in mind when out in the World of Warcraft. You can save money by waiting until you hit 60 before training ranks for the likes of Thunder Clap and Shield Bash since the slowing effect stays the same for every progressing rank, and there isn't much change for Overpower or Cleave either.

  The Hamstring Method

A popular way of World of Warcraft Classic power leveling for Warriors is the Hamstring Method, which can be applied when you reach level 8. By reaching this level, it will mark you getting Hamstring Rank 1, which can be effectively used against enemies. Warriors are hindered by a number of obstacles in Classic WoW, one of which is slow movement.

This is where the Hamstring Method comes into play, as it will allow you to a hit each with mob targets, which reduces the damage that you will take while keeping your damage stats up. Gamers adopting this method should use Hamstring on their desired target after auto-attacking, then manoeuver around said target until your auto attack has cooled down enough. By going in again with a follow-up auto-attack, it will give you time to give your swing timer to revamp itself.

Dual-Wielding?

One of the most divisive topics when it comes to Warriors is dual-wielding. Many believe that it shouldn't be recommended unless you have max classic wow power leveling gear, as your damage output is dramatically reduced by the limited impact of your hit and glancing blow. So, not only is your hit chance majorly cut down, but your off-hand only gives out half damage. This makes so doing so before passing level 40 seem pretty redundant. If you do decide to go ahead with a weapon in each hand, then going at it as Fury is your best option. One of the few advantages is that there is a bigger chance of you landing critical blows, meaning that at a high level you could see off mobs in a matter of seconds!

It may seem like a bit of an uphill task power leveling a Warrior, but fear not! These snippets of advice should see you through to your desired ranks in a timely fashion—as long as you have the patience and knowledge to do so. Whether it is fame you are looking for or just buying wow good old WoW Classic Gold fortune, you and your Warrior will be rising through the ranks in no time!

How to Price Your Path of Exile Currency Stacks

Path of Exile is a game that challenges the traditional. Strength in Wraeclast isn't about getting the best equipment for your character's class; it's about building stats and skills to work together in a symphony of attacks that make all your enemies just fall at your feet. You can even choose what kind of pieces, from dismembered body parts to dust and ashes. However, the journey to get there is both long and hard, especially if the RNG feels cruel to you.
PoE Currency

Thankfully, others are there to help. Despite the lack of an in-game monetary currency system, players have found PoE orbs to be a sufficient replacement. They're not a currency per se, but items with function. It's more barter and trade than the money-grubbing systems other MMOs have in place.

That being said, to help with trading some fans have taken the time to create a site (poe.trade) that players can check to see if someone is selling something of value. Another one for currency is also available and can be accessed via the mentioned link.

How to Price a Stack

One thing that might confuse new users to the site is how to set a price for a stack of Path of Exile currency. No matter what they do, they just can't seem to set a price for a stack. So how exactly do you do it?

What they don't know is that the site assumes a stack of any amount is one unit of the stack. Potential offers should then be labeled with this format: xx/yy currency or the simpler xx currency. In that format, xx is what you want to get, yy is what you're offering. The ‘currency' bit refers to what you want to get, so it corresponds to ‘xx'.

For example, you want to sell a thousand Chaos Orbs for a Regal Orb. You set a Chaos Orb on your listing and label it as ‘1/1000 regal'. After that, it should appear on the listings. It also works for bulk selling or buying, as the label ‘10/600' exalted on an Orb of Alteration means the player will pay 600 Alteration for 10 Exalted.

As for the simpler format, it works best when you want to ‘break down' rarer orbs into more common ones. Reversing the first example above, one Regal Orb priced at 1000 Chaos means they're selling a Regal Orb for 100 Chaos. It's that simple!

Additional Notes

These labels aren't applicable to the ‘Price' and ‘Exact Price' options on the site. They can only be used in the ‘Note' option and then typed manually. The simpler format is really just the former two options, so it's more convenient to use. That is unless you're trying to break down a stack as well.

Now that you know how to price PoE currency stacks, go forth and trade! You'll get even closer to your optimal character build with this information. It'll also streamline your trading endeavors since you won't have to go around screaming in the chaos of the world chat.

Enjoy your newfound knowledge!

THE KEY DIFFERENCES BETWEEN WOW CLASSIC AND PRIVATE SERVERS

WoWc gold

Private servers, despite being a major source of headaches for the original creators, are alternate ways to enjoy certain games such as World of Warcraft. They’re also good for discontinued ones, as they let future players enjoy subtle differences in-game mechanics. Those differences are rooted in the private server developer's misunderstanding of certain features. While some of those are intentional, some are not.

Here are some differences between WoW Classic and the various WoW private servers.

World Buffs

Private servers typically make the notoriously frustrating game mechanics easier to deal with. One of which is world buffs. These buffs affect all players in certain areas and are activated by doing a special action such as turning in a quest. If you're used to private servers, you have players refreshing the buff as it nears the end of the duration. It's easy to keep the buff up for raids and dungeon runs.
Classic is a whole different beast altogether. World buffs have a cooldown period where you can't refresh it for a time after the effects fade. Warchief's Blessing, a Horde only buff, can only be applied every 12 hours, for example. Stacking them up would be harder in retail WoW.

Gold Farming

Dire Maul runs have a borderline exploit for WoWc gold farming in retail. It's pretty easy for some classes to run solo. When done right, it can result in you getting richer much more efficiently. Private servers have these runs nerfed to divert player attention to other activities in the game.

Armor Break and Spell Penetration Skills

The developers of the private server don't have all the information about the game's mechanics. They then have to guess whether armor break and spell penetration effects are additive or multiplicative. Adding to the possibilities is that they could operate on diminishing returns.

Most private servers go with additive, which makes boss armor/magic resistance a non-issue. However, that goes both ways, and players are at risk of having their armor trivialized. In retail, only the more powerful skill will take effect. It makes the boss fights more difficult in that regard.

Gathering Nodes

To make it easier on players, gathering nodes have sped up refresh rates to make their acquisition more convenient in private servers. Vanilla WoW is not as kind. As an example, gathering nodes for Black Lotus have a cycle of about 6 minutes as opposed to retail's 2 hours. The ingredient is critical for crafting several high-level flasks. The longer cycle makes the reagent a rarer commodity that will make flask crafting an expensive endeavor.

And that's Just Scratching the Surface!

There are many more differences, such as certain skill effects. The most notorious one is the warlock's pet summons. There's also the Regrowth and Chain Heal skills, wherein private servers don't really work the same way as in the original.

Then there's also loot drops. It is all over the place in emulations, making players either happily lucky or haplessly not since they can get boss drops just about everywhere. Then again, those items might not even work as intended. Creature AI is also different, as they either have no abilities or no sense of tactics and strategy.

All in all, playing World of Warcraft Classic won't give you the same experience in private servers. Even when compared to the current state of WoW Vanilla is more challenging and needs more time and effort. Whether you're going to play it for mere nostalgic value or not, just have fun with WoW Classic!

HOW TO LEVEL UP QUICKLY IN FFXIV

If you're the FFXIV fan who puts leveling first rather than adventuring or farming FF XIV Gil, get ready to take notes because this guide is for you. We'll describe how to level up your classes quickly, so you can get to crafting & exploring—all the good stuff!

Without further ado, here are the methods to reach the level cap as swift as an arrow shot from a bow.
FFXIV leveling guide

Quests, Quests, Quests!

One of the most praised aspects of FFXIV is the story. However, even if you don't care about the story, it’s mandatory. You'll unlock more features, areas, and mechanics after every part of the story. That's enough of an incentive, isn't it?

They're also a great source of EXP, at least until level 30. On the bright side, there are expansion scenario quests, which can bring you nearer to the level cap. Side quests will also help if you ever end up unable to fulfill the requirements.

Some of those side quests include class and job quests. Each one will give a hefty chunk of EXP, so don't skip them!

Eat, Drink, and Rest Up

Any kind of food in FFXIV will grant a 3% increase in EXP gain for 30 minutes when eaten. Whether it's bought or gathered, that effect will be applied. Some may have other effects, from boosting stats to increase certain attributes. They're useful in any kind of content, from raids to dungeon crawling or hunting.

Resting is also important. Logging out in towns or sanctuaries will grant you ‘resting EXP'. If you ever feel like taking a break from the game, make sure you do so in a safe place. The next time you log in, your character might have gone up a level.

Join a Guild

They're called Free Companies in-game, but the principle is the same. They give you passive bonuses for certain attributes and even bonus EXP, so join one! There's also another good reason to join one which would be…

Guildhest and Guildleves/Levequest

The former lets you practice for the harder dungeons and raids while the latter refers to repeatable quests scattered across Eorzea. Should you have trouble beating these alone, remember that being in a company provides you with a reliable pool of allies to help you. You'll get your EXP, and do it faster with friends.

Do Your Challenges

Once you hit level 16, the quest ‘Rising to the Challenge' will become available. It will unlock the Challenge Log when completed. The log offers EXP bonuses upon completing objectives that reset every week. The tasks range from killing mobs to completing dungeons.

There's also the Hunting Log, which is a list of enemies to find and defeat. Both logs will give significant EXP, so don't miss the opportunity to complete them.

Try Your Luck in the Duty Roulette

Do it at least once a day, as the main EXP bonus only applies to the first completion of a mission. You can spin it afterward, but with fewer rewards than the first. If you start out early, you can get a level up per day with just a single Duty Roulette spin.

Take Your FATE in Your Hands

Well, that is, to jump into FATE battles when you see them. These world bosses appear throughout Eorzea at intervals. If you're lucky, you'll be able to join ‘FATE trains', a group of strangers flitting from one FATE boss to the next. You don't have to wait for a group or have trouble tracking down the next one. This method may seem a little repetitive, but it does award good EXP.

As a last note, if you're leveling up multiple classes, note that lower leveled jobs gain bonus EXP as long as you have a different job that's at a higher level. That's all you need to know, so go out there and level up! Along with EXP, you're sure to get FFXIV currency as well, basically hitting two birds with one stone.

Enjoy leveling your character in Final Fantasy XIV!

All About World of Warcraft Classic

Feeling a tinge of nostalgia for the old times? You know, when WoW was still new? Don’t fret! You can relive those glory days with WoW Classic. Go back to the good ol’ days of challenging grinding, as well as re-attempting the Naxxramas Raid. While the current WoW is still quite difficult (depending on the activity you're doing) many things have been eased by various updates. It's still an enjoyable game, but it feels different and quite distant to its first iteration.

Here's all you need to know about Classic!
WoW Classic

WoW Classic Content

It will cover up to patch 1.12. Any and all content covered by updates from the start of the game up to that patch will appear in Classic. That includes raids, PvP, and more! Content will go live in six phases, the last of which will introduce the aforementioned Naxxramas Raid as well as the Scourge Invasion.

Staying true to the game's roots, Blizzard has made a list of features that are ‘not a bug'. These include no text wrapping on long quest objectives, untracked objectives, larger hitboxes for some characters, and more! WoW Vanilla would really give the ‘classic' WoW experience. However, there might still be elements of the current game state (such as the clock in the minimap) that would make it to this iteration.

Changes from Modern WoW

Slower progress; the level cap may have been lowered to 60, but you're going to be waiting for much of your playtime. Things you take for granted in the modern version don't exist, such as the Dungeon Finder. You're going to have to talk to other players to gather a group for raids. Guilds and regular parties will help with that, so socialization is important!

We're not sure how much of the QOL (quality-of-life) features will be brought to classic, so you can expect a more challenging adventure. You have to plan and think about where to invest your skill points and how to develop your talents further. Experimentation is more costly, and you have to trek all the way back to certain trainers to reset.

You can also revisit old zones destroyed by the Cataclysm. It's something you can't do in the current version, as they are in ruins now. These zones give more freedom, and the nostalgia they bring is definitely a good bonus.

Release Date

Blizzard has staggered testing phases for the game. The first was during the 22nd-23rd of May. Next, the second came on the 19th-20th of June. The last will happen on the 18th to the 19th of July. You may access the beta through your Battle.net account. Just select ‘Account Management', and select the ‘WoW Classic Beta'. July is your last chance, so don't miss it! You'll need an active subscription to be eligible to join.

The game itself will go live on the 26th of August, 27th for those not in the Americas. Get ready, because that's just a month and a half of waiting before it goes live.

Long-time fans and newcomers alike can enjoy WoW Classic. Whether it's for farming WoWc gold, grinding for wowc powel levels, or spending time with friends, you can find something to enjoy in the game.

Begin your adventures through Azeroth anew!
