Here are some of the best untradeable items in Old
School RuneScape that we think to deserves a spot in your inventory.
Old School RuneScape has a plethora of items with each one possessing a unique set of uses. From the usual potions down to some rare capes that are worth a lot of OSRS gold, items are what makes the gold in OSRS flow and keep the economy stable. This is why we’ve seen an influx of buying OSRS gold and OSRS gold selling. Besides selling and buying items for gold, they can also be traded items. Say you have an item that you’ve outgrown but you already have enough gold that could last for months. Instead of selling the item, you can simply look for a person willing to trade an item that you’re looking for. But note that not all items are tradeable. In fact, there are some non-tradeable items in OSRS that are deemed essential by players, but unfortunately can either only be crafted or bought in shops.
If you’re keen on finding out which untradeable items on your inventory are the ones worth keeping, then you’ve come to the right place! We’ll be talking about the best non-tradeable items in Old School RuneScape and why you should consider keeping them in your inventory.
- The Fire Cape
The Fire Cape is one of the most well-known capes in Old School RuneScape. Fire Capes have never been tradeable, nor will they ever be according to the developers of the game. This cape is important for those who are looking to master the arts of Melee Combat, Slayer, and Bossing. Besides attack bonuses, the Fire Cape grants the player donning the Runescape items on an additional +4 Strength bonus and a +2 Prayer bonus. Altogether, this cape is essential for those that specialize in using melee attacks. Unfortunately, you can’t buy OSRS item cape using OSRS gold, but there are a number of ways to get one. For starters, you’ll be able to receive a Fire Cape should you achieve level 99 in Firemaking. If Firemaking isn’t your forte, you can get the cape by defeating TzTok-Jad instead.
- Rune Pouch
The Rune Pouch is an OSRS item that fits both in the Combat and Skilling category. What makes it so important, you ask? Well, as the name suggests, the Rune Pouch is able to hold Runes in one inventory slot—specifically three Runes. This makes the pouch extremely useful since Runes are needed in Old School RuneScape in almost any activity. You can get a Rune Pouch by buying Tier 1 Emblems from the Grand Exchange and trade them for Bounty Hunter Points which can be used to purchase a Rune Pouch.
- The Arclight
The Arclight is one of the best combat items in OSRS. This is thanks to the huge increase it gives to your Accuracy and Damage whenever you fight any Demonic Creature. The Arclight is typically made using a combination of a Darklight and three Ancient Shards. The Ancient Shards can be found inside the Catacombs of Kourend and are typically dropped by the monsters that reside there. There’s really not a lot to say about this OSRS item that’s already been said before. All in all, it’s a great untradeable OSRS item worth making an effort to obtain because of how big of a boost it gives.
- Prospector Outfit
The Motherlode Mine is one of the most iconic places in OSRS. And how can it not be? It’s an area that doesn’t require you to have a quest whenever you want to enter it. It’s also a great place to mine ore and earn a ton of Runescape gold. This mine is a members-only Mining training area though, so this means that if you’re not paying the monthly subscription fee, then you won’t be able to get inside. What makes the Prospector Outfit important is that it’s a great Skilling outfit. While having only some of the Old School Runescape items on the set is fine, the outfit will give you an even bigger boost should you wear the whole thing.
And those are some of the best untradeable items in
Old
School RuneScape that can’t be bought with OSRS gold! While there are still
a lot of OSRS items left to talk about, we think these are the ones that
deserved to be on the spotlight. What do you make of this list? Are there any
other RS items that you think should be added? Let us know your thoughts by
