Apex Legends: What’s New in Season Two?

On July 2, 2019, Respawn Entertainment officially released everything there is for players to look forward to inApex Legends’ eagerly anticipated 2nd season. Tons of streamers and popular content creators are sponsored to play the game these days. As a result, the audience for Apex Legends has become even wider. The game’s just plain good. With the launch of the second seasonal battle pass, new changes to the map, and a new Legend to work with(should you purchase her with Apex Legends currency), the battle royale shooter is as alive right now more than it has ever been. In fact, there are even leaks now of the next upcoming Legend! We’ll talk about all that, our Apex Account Calculator, and more with our update for everything Apex Legends has to offer at the moment.

The Redemption Arc: Mozambique’s Return?!

The Mozambique shotgun was the worst gun in the game by far. With the downright disgusting recoil and pathetic damage output, it’s not surprising that it isn’t players’ first, second, or even third choice of weapon. But change has finally come to King’s Canyon and it’s Mozambique’s time to shine. Would you believe that this once-infamous shotgun is now actually worth holding onto? It sounds absurd, but the release of the second season for the game made it happen.

The Mozambique’s improvement is all thanks to the addition of a new gun attachment called the Hammerpoint. The Hammerpoint is an attachment that does additional damage to enemies who don’t have a shield, and it’s compatible with Mozambique. It’s a nasty combination, as it enables you to finish off enemies rather easily. The Mozambique’s stats haven’t changed, however, so you’ll need the Hammerpoint to make the gun worth your while. Luckily, the attachment is found randomly around the map and it’s not hard to find. So the next time you play Apex Legends, grab a Mozambique and see what it can do. You’ll be surprised that the gameplay videos of players annihilating players with the gun paired with the attachment is all too real!

Apex Legends’ Ranked Mode: The Key to Keep the Fire Burning

Perhaps the most crucial addition to Apex Legends is the implementation of a ranked mode. This new mode is split into six tiers, with each ranked tier further split up into four sub-tiers. This will undoubtedly be the “Lifeline” of the game moving forward. This mode will keep Apex Legends engaging, especially for competitive players, fps streamers, and aspiring pros that will likely form the future of this e-sports scene. The ranked mode rewards you with your time, and the progression will feel less oppressive compared to other games like Counter-Strike or Destiny 2.

Since Apex Legends is a Battle Royale game, you don’t need to win every single match to rank up; that’ll be too difficult. The game borrows the concept of Fortnite’s ranked mode, where you just need to have high placements which will, in turn, earn you a specific number of points. However, the comparison ends there. As you climb up the ranks, the requirements will be increasingly demanding. What’s more, Respawnhas implemented an entrance fee system that’ll force you to spend your points to enter matches in higher-tiered ranks. This is a unique take on an otherwise run-of-the-mill ranking system where you just earn and lose points depending on your performance.

Creatures and A New Legend Appears!

Enemies aren’t the only ones you need to worry about, as now there are large-scale monsters that roam around King’s Canyon. Oh, but don’t worry, they won’t disturb you! These include the Leviathan beasts that bop around the water just outside the island’s edges. There are also dragons secluded in cages, as well other reptiles to see.

It’s basically old news now, but Wattson is now officially part of the squad. She was first revealed at E3 earlier last month, and we have since come to know all about her lore and kit. Wattson, known as the Static Defender, is a builder that can destroy incoming missiles, recharge shields, and uses a pylon. Her abilities will literally shock you as they are all electric-based. Wattson is not a free-to-play Legend, so you’ll have to shell out some Apex Legends currency to get her.
