World of Warcraft is no stranger to taking us to a whole bunch of weird and wonderful places. One such place is the Searing Gorge, which is a contested zone in the Eastern Kingdoms. If this is a place you have been looking to visit, then we have got you covered here. These are the facts that you need to know about the Searing Gorge.
What is the Searing Gorge?
The Searing Gorge is found in the Eastern Kingdoms and is a contested zone that's available for players in the level range of 40-60. This area is inhabited by the Thorium Brotherhood, who are a group of dwarves that have broken away from the Dark Iron Clan. This clan closely tracks the movements of the Thorium Brotherhood.
How to Get to the Searing Gorge
The way that you access the Searing Gorge depends on the faction that you are playing as. For Alliance players, you will notice that the entrance at Loch Modan is actually locked. This means that we are going to have to get ourselves a key. The key in question is found by participating in a quest line that ends with the 'At Last!' quest. This is a level 48 quest that we need to finish off if we are to get the Key to Searing Gorge.
Alternatively, if you are a Rogue that has a lockpicking level at 225, then you can just pick the door yourself. You could also use the path in the Badlands that you find south of Kargath. This will be the route that you have to take if you are a Horde player since you can't gain access to the key.
About Searing Gorge
We can now get to Searing Gorge, but what is there to do when we arrive? If you are looking for dungeons or raids, then unfortunately you are out of luck. There aren't any dungeons or raids in the Searing Gorge, but you aren't far away from Blackrock Mountain. Here you will find Blackrock Depths, which is an instance for levels 52-60. Blackrock Spire meanwhile is also here, as a level 54-60 instance. You'll also come across two level 60 raid instances, in the form of Molten Core and Blackwing Lair.
Even if there are no raids or dungeons in the Searing Gorge, you will find some interesting characters here. When you get to Thorium Point, you will see Hansel Heavyhands. He will be looking for assistance in dealing with the spiders, incedosaurs and golems in the vicinity. You'll also have Master Smith Burninate trying to make a flux, whilst Kalaran Windblade is sending players to the Dark Irons to bring down the sentry towers around them.
The spiders, incendosaurs, and golems are just a few of the wild creatures that you will face off within the area. There's also fire elementals to deal with, as well as lava elementals, nightmares, and thunder lizards.
The method in which you use to get to this location will also give you the opportunity to check out the subzones in the area. If you are arriving via the flight from Stormwind to Ironforge will be able to check out these subzones. It's worth pointing out too that if you were to perish in any of the Blackrock Mountain instances that we discussed earlier, then you would be taken to the Thorium Point Graveyard. This is a blessing in disguise in some ways, as it isn't far away from the Flight Point either.
The Searing Gorge puts you in the vicinity of a fair few interesting zones too. If you have purchased a WoW mount for sale, then you might be up for doing some exploring. To the east, you have the Badlands, and to the south, we have the Burning Steppes. The latter is accessible by going south through Blackrock Mountain. Over to the northwest, we have Dun Morogh, as well as Loch Modan to the northeast.
Having to buy WoW gold isn't really necessary if you're going to visit the Searing Gorge. That said, you will have to progress through a certain questline in some instances such as being an Alliance player. There are enough points of interest and NPCs here to make it worth visiting, but you might find yourself spending more time in the locations that are surrounding it, especially in dungeons and raids are your things.
