Flasks

Skill Gems

Maps

Another useful way to utilize vendors is Maps. You can get a leveled-up Arcade map by trading in three maps of the same kind. If you are looking to increase the quality of the map, then trading one in with a Stone Hammer will give you a Cartographer's Chisel. Keep in mind that if you would like to get your hands on the chisel, you will need the hammer that you are trading to be at least 20% quality in order for it to work. This strategy will come in handy later in the game when you have a lot of lower level tier maps that you won't need anymore, so it is a great way to acquire the upgraded maps that you will need late on.

Combining with Amulets

Bandit quests can conjure up a number of rewards, one set of which is onyx Amulets. If you trade these in with 20 Orbs of Regret, you can get your hands on books that will gain favour with different entities. For example, trading in the Amber Amulet will get you the Book of Reform to gain Oak's favour, so try it out with whatever amulet reward that you manage to get your hands on for differing elemental results.

Increasing Damage Stats

If you are looking for a damage increase, then be sure to get your hands on either a blue or magical sceptre or wand, as well as an Alteration Orb and Ruby Ring or Sapphire Ring. These combined will earn a powerful One Handed Mace, which will add certain powers depending on the ring you choose to give to the PoE vendor recipe. Regardless of which you choose, you are looking at high increases in elemental damage. Speaking of increasing damage, you can also do so if you have a dagger, wand, staff or sceptre, as well as a Blacksmith's Whetstone and a Chain Belt. This will give you an increase in physical damage output, but will also deal higher magic damage depending on what kind of belt you choose to trade in.
